It's supposed to pay homage to the genre of gaming
Dormant Sky's style derives from.

others that inspired me.

However I like japanese subtitles. It is aesthetically pleasing (for me), for I love the visual of japanese words. (Especially hiragana, but since this is a "japanization" of an english word, it shall use katakana. xD
