I'll have to take some time to sit and watch those, but thanks!
I'm actually amazed someone bothered to play and record this awful game :P

Have you tried Easy Mode? The enemy patterns are fixed and a lot easier to learn on that mode. Exp and Score gains are increased as well and enemies have slightly lower stats (it makes the game kinda playable).

Your welcome.

No, but I'm not particularly interested in playing on easy mode after beating it on normal. I think the game would have worked better if the enemies used clear patters like in Fate/Extra. Though, that game required the player to predict the correct selection for six rounds of combat. So, it was entirely possible to get your backside handed to you if you were careless during combat or were overly aggressive. Though, as you defeated more and more copies of the same monster you'd unlock more and more hints on its upcoming attacks until you had completely opened up its attack plan for the next round.
Just finished watching all 3 videos. I'm sorry you had such a terrible time. Humanity deserves my apologies for this game, seriously.

The story is, I didn't have time to really test the gameplay on paper before making the game for the Halloween event. By the time the deadline was passed, I just wanted to finish making the game as fast as possible and didn't bother fixing all the horrible design decisions.
Easy mode makes the game more bearable with clear and shorter patterns but it still isn't a decent gaming experience due to all the randomness, tediousness and frustration.

I like the suggestions you made, about showing percentages or at least better hints about the attack patterns. A big part of the frustration also comes from high enemy strength and the win-or-fail outcome of every move, I'd think.

Thanks again for caring enough to make those Let's Plays!

EDIT: If anything, this game is a good lesson in how not to implement similar gameplay ideas :P
Well, I suppose this is rather small update, but this series is no longer banned in any country. Though the third part may not play on certain devices.
Oh? I suppose the videos were originally banned by a bot?
So I guess that Youtube updated their policy on copyright or something like that?

Yes. Though the ban only pertained to a small handful of countries in the grand scheme of things. Albeit this series was blocked either in part or in whole in a lot more places then my Let's Play for SUCV - The Battle of Brownsea was blocked in. A side note that only bring up since someone was griping about the series being blocked in their country by Victor Entertainment in the last couple of weeks.

Not really. If anything, I'm guessing that the companies in question changed their position on people using their music. Since, the videos have gone from being blocked in certain countries to simply being monetized by the copyright holders.
Interesting... Maybe I have no right to say this, but I feel that monetizing these videos is a better move than blocking them.

On an unrelated note, it's a funny coincidence that you mentioned Victor Entertainment: some of my favorite artists and bands are signed with them :)

I don't imagine either of us have a right to say this, but I'd have to agree with you.

Though, I'm not sure any company actually makes that much money off of youtube anymore. Especially with how prevalent ad blockers are now a days.
