Okay, the preemptive code is active! Usable items are also in the game!


I'm a tad worried that the line Okiku speaks when she gets a preemptive attack will grow old REALLY fast, but I want SOME kind of indication that a preemptive strike is occurring.


However, before I upload this AGAIN...


...how about getting at least one boss fight in?


I also want to create at least one map with "regular" actionable events AND encounters. This means chests now, but also switches that create bridges such as the Wand training grounds.


Or, you know, SOME kind of puzzle mechanism that requires the Wand.


I've also had it in the back of my head to look up anti-lag scripts, and how they would help, if at all, in respect to the Wand.


Maybe it's just me, but "normal" speed, is too slow.


"Twice normal" felt about right, so that is what I would want to aim for!

I completed the Mountain Pass, and was testing it a bit. I came across some rather interesting things.


Such as forgetting to reset the "WOB" switch for area transition events. Also, having the Wand hit what should be an actionable event, only to not activate it.


I THINK I managed to fix these issues, but, I'm delegating proper testing for tomorrow.


I also did a search on RMN for anti-lag scripts.


From what I can tell, the one script that came up from my search query had more to do with the game as a whole lagging. Which isn't EXACTLY what I was looking for, but...


...I dunno. Maybe I was reading something wrong. It's happened to me, like, a billion times.

I wonder if I shouldn't combine the general store and equipment into one building?

I dunno. I'm reading the "How the Heck do you Design a Town?" thread, and I'm concerned that I'm falling into the trap of having the one town that's in the game (right now) only being there for the purposes of shopping (later: traveling to other locations).

Well, outside of this worry that I have, at any rate.
