DarkEnd ver 1.5 is released with new features and bug fixes.
Changelog
- Added 26 Steam Achievements! (Have fun hunting them!)
- Added "Milestone Leveling System". Your characters will automatically level up as the story advances. A great feature for those who do not wish to grind for EXP.
- Bugs from Fredrick Quest Hub are now fixed.
- Stats for some enemies have been rebalanced
- Added new musics!
- A new battle AI for the hardest hidden boss.
- Fixed minor mapping errors from several maps.
- Added a tutorial board for reviewing several tutorials.
Milestone Leveling
DarkEnd is a traditional 2D RPG with dungeon-crawler and rogue-like elements. The game is heavily inspired by classic dungeon crawlers from the 90's and we made the game very hard and challenging to reflect that. However,we ended up alienating a lot of players who are new to dungeon-crawler RPGs as a result.
In ver 1.5, we added this new feature called "Milestone Leveling". Players who found the grinding process tedious, which is standard for most Dungeon-Crawlers, can now play the game completely free of grinding!
The update is now live! Please enjoy the game and happy hunting for new achievements!

CloseHi, I removed the screenshots from the description because they are already included in the screenshots section on this gamepage. We like to keep the game descriptions isolated for text/small images only. I also recommend moving your video to the Media section :)

Simply run the installation file and play the game.
Maybe I am wrong but I really dont trust a site which instead of just letting me down load the game from the site, it wants me to create a d/l link. It makes it seem in order to play the game, it is necessary to join somethng. Like I say maybe i am simply being over cautious.

You don't need to join anything to download from that site. It's just a file hosting site like mediafire.Don't even need to register.
Maybe shall I PM you the dropbox direct download link? Or do you want to download it from trust-able site like indiedb? (currently waiting for authorizing).

I clicked on it expecting to simply dl as you mentioned but it took me instead to a site wanting to sell glasses or something, with nothing to say anything about the dl for your game.

Hmm, this is really weird. It's just the harmless file hosting site I have been using it for year.

Just a heads up, the plural of 'chosen' is 'chosen.' The trailer says 'chosens.'

Ouch! Right at the trailer XD. S-sry, we'll fix the language up soon... being a second language user is a pain. Thanks for downloading the demo :)

Just wanted to point out that when downloading the game, Chrome signals this as malicious. I think you should compress it to avoid Chrome being paranoid, casual players might be turned off if they see the game as potentially dangerous.
