Game Over

Hi, everyone.

I posted this forum to inform you that, sadly, I won't be working on this project anymore. The reasons behind this decision are two:

The first reason, is that I made the mistake that every rookie developer has to avoid: I was too ambitious in my first game. I thought too big, and that's something that happens to me every time I plan a game. I take a simple idea, and I put into it all kinds of features without thinking about how it will affect the planning of my project, just because I think a big quantity of features will make the game more fun.

And the second reason, is that in the bottom, I didn't knew if this was really the project I wanted to accomplish. And that just lowered my motivation to continue with this game. I want to make a project that not only people enjoy, but that I also enjoy too.

Because of that, this game will be cancelled. And until I don't work in these personal issues, I won't make any other project.

I'm sorry if I let you down, and I promise that when I make another project, this time I will finish it. And it will be a project that hopefully, not only you will enjoy playing, but it will be also a project that I will enjoy making.

I'll see you in another project

Learning from my mistakes...

Hello, everybody! I just want you to know that I have been taking in account the mistakes I made marked by Sviel in his review, and right now, I'm in process of fixing the demo. I'm looking foward to fix these things for the next demo:

-Fix a couple of bugs in the game.

-Fix some grammar mistakes.

-Eliminate the Tomb Guy event in Tenpenny Town, it doesn't do anything useful, and it's elimination won't affect the game on anything.

-Now I'll make Caroline participate in the conversations during the Tennpeny Town part, she will also provide a minor help during the battles in the town.

-Instead of using low numbers on stats, I will do the opposite, I will use moderately big numbers because it may generate better results than using low numbers.

-Modificate the first floor of the Dark Castle (mapping and enemy events) to make it less irritating to explore.

-Modificate the enemies (bosses and mid-bosses especially) to make sure that at least you have to struggle to beat them.

And of course, I will add a couple of extra floors for the next demo. Sorry if this is a bother, but since I'm editing the maps and the player and enemies stats, you may have to start the game from the begining again... But belive me when I say that this demo will be better than the last one. So, if you have any suggestions for the game, feel free to comment about it. Until the next update!

Demo Now Available!

The Demo is finally here!!!

After a very looong while, the demo version of my game is finally ready to download! But before you start playing the game, I suggest you to follow this piece of advice:

N°1: Try to explore and interact with all NPC's and items that you find in the city, and the castle. Ok, maybe part of the items do nothing, and the other part has just a bunch of jokes, but some items may have something useful...

N°2: Stock up with items in the town store before going to the castle, because if you don't, you'll end up getting killed easily. Also, you should buy both types of weapons(Staves and Blades), some of them are more useful in a situation than another...

N°3: You can escape from the regular battles if you are in danger of dying, but don't do that all the time, you may not level up by experience points but enemies once defeated drop Gold, which you will eventually need to buy weapons and items in the Safezones, so be careful on how you play...

N°4: You have the skill to save anytime you want in the menu, so my advice is to save anytime you can! Sometimes, is pretty easy getting killed in the game...

Also, this game needs the RTP to work. But I guess most of the people who're reading this have it, and if not, you should have it! So I'll let you the link to the RTP here:

Get the RTP in here!

So, that's all! I hope you enjoy the game and leave any comments and/or feedback if you feel like it!

Nervous for his first demo

Tenpenny Town Completed!

Great news everybody!

I'm glad to announce that I finally finished Tenpenny Town!
This means that now I'm moving to creating the Dark Prince's Castle(Altough, that is probably obvious...). The castle is going to have ten big sized levels, and the level of the final boss, so it will take a time to finish the full game, but once I finish the first level of the castle, I'll be launching a demo.

So stay tuned(tuned to what?) for more!

News for those who tought I was dead...

Hello everybody! This is a message for the few people that has been tracking my progress.

Now, the reason I didn't updated the Tenpenny Town progress chart, is that I've been working in the database lately, creating the skillset for Isabelle, making some animations, and working on the initial enemies, but I promise that soon I will be finishing the town for good.

By the way, I won't be using the Earthbound based battle system anymore, because when I tested it, I came across a bug that freezes the game. So I will be replacing it with a one-player version of the Yanfly Battle System instead.

You'll now more of me soon. See you later!

P.S.: There's a chance that when I finish the town, and the first level of the castle, I will launch a demo...

Progress Chart

My game has been accepted! Yes!

Now, I'm not precisely a "demo guy", so to let you know of my progress in the game, I will periodically update this chart so you can track my progress of the two more important locations in the game: Tenpenny Town and the Dark Prince's Castle. So, here's the chart:

Intro & Tenpenny Town:
Mapping: Complete!
Database: Complete!
Events: Complete!
Planning: Complete!
Audio: Complete!
Testing: Complete!

Dark Prince's Castle & Endings:
Mapping: 15%
Database: 15%
Events: 10%
Planning: 20%
Audio: 10%
Testing: 10%

I'm also not a "chart guy", so I may be changing this chart a lot...
