I just couldn't stay away from developing this game. It will most likely never be on hiatus again. I just love working on it. The monsters won't be based of Mother 3 any more. I want enemies that nobody has seen before. I'm even working on custom ones.
Nothing is final as of now but I needed something to act as a placeholder for testing.
This is one of 4 of the heroes I will be doing portraits for. They will serve as some kind of title screen of the game. This is Kimiyo, Will's hard to get Girl Friend. She's level headed and wears Japanese school clothes for the heck of it.
You'll soon notice that there will be a handful of Ranma 1/2 cameos in the game. I'm watching the series as I develope the game. This here is Tatawake Kuno, the Blue Thunder of Furinkan High.
The menu now features a fully pictured playtime counter. I didn't think anyone could play the game over 100 hours....or even 6 hours but better safe than sorry. It works pretty nicely and you can toggle it on or off.
There is only one mode of faster transportation in this game, the MX-3000 bike. You can open and close options with the number keys and you can choose whether you want to see party members or not.
I know every screenshot hast "Nutty Town" as the area icon but that's for a reason. This is Pistachio City, the first city you will travel to and kind of a central hub for minor and major information.
There's some foreshadowing going on here.
This is Chestnut Village. A Japanese inspired area that has been threatened into Limbo, the world of the Inverse. I hope you like Goemon music:D Look out for a scenario creation contest as well. I admit, I need help.
The characters in the game have officially changed from Mother 3 styled to Pokemon Styled. I felt this was necessary for the game to be developed at a good pace. I actually like it.

This is the Expresso Express. It is a bus/train that will act as your form of transportation through the game. It stops at all major locations, cities, and towns. It's $20 per person and takes 5Min to arrive to your destination. Voice clips included.
The menu is under construction again due to the fact that the repel items are being replaced by: Mattocks, Cut-Blades, and Power Rings. You can learn more about what they do later.
This is how items will be bought in-game. Since items are necessary and hard to come by in some cases, you cannot sell any of them.
This is how you will gain status points for Attack, Defense, and Speed. You will not level up in-game like say Dragon Quest or Earthbound. There are 24 of these powerups total hidden/some not hidden, in this game.
This is an idea of how the battle system will look It used to be 3rd person 1 character(i.e. enemey and hero) per side.
This is the final menu system that I've chosen for the game. I was going to have different styles but this fits best. Not every item is concrete yet so this is why I'm showing the full menu. As you can see, I'm including battles.
Pistachio High is a highschool that Will attends. He's graduating now howver. But you'll be back here several times.

It is by no means complete yet but it is fully functional. All items are used automatically if you need them. There will only be 27 items in the game so i'll use the extra space for a synopsis slot.
Does this place seem familiar to you? Ugh... I hate NICE PRODUCTS and you will see that in this game.
