Bleeding Moons is an interactive story with some simple adventure games mechanics. If you have played games like To the Moon, this game is similar in its gameplay except that there is much more interaction.

A word of caution : This game features some scenes and dialogues that are not suitable for children.

You are Ian de Valmain, second son of the count de Valmain and not destined to heir. Through a chain of events, he is sent to work at a mercenary camp. With all that he will see and do, Ian will have to deal with his conscience and find the reason why he is alive.

Will he endure the suffering of this life so the one he loves can be happy?
How far will he go to protect them?

Whatever he chooses, his life will never be the same thereafter.

Original presentation page and demo link here.
Direct demo link here.

Please note: This demo (v.0.4) is getting old now. Almost a year has passed and a lot of improvements were made since, including a rewriting of the English sentences for a more natural feeling, with the help of a native American friend.
I'm not shutting down this link, but there will be another demo when the game is closer to release.

Rated 4.6 out of 5

Good news, the players like Bleeding Moons!

While it only has 3 review on Steam so far, they're all very positive about the game.
And all 5 players' reviews on GOG are positive too, rating the game a 4.6 out of 5!

Thank you and don't forget to leave reviews for the games you like ;)

Well, I'm not planning to do another one anyway so that should be OK as it is optional.
Great Job!! I'm looking forward to the whole game's release.
Just finished the demo. It's so good! Love the story line! It's hard to pick a decision every once in a while..the pressure of wanting the "best" ending. :p I'm kinda rooting for Ian and River now..hope they end up together and live happily ever after (haha). Can't wait for the finished game to see what happens! Thumbs up!:D
Thank you Harue!

While River is the only obvious romanceable character in the demo, Ian can choose to be with 3 women in total.
Just like real life and contrary to most Visual Novels' "routes", you can even choose to go with all three at the same time, if you feel like it ;)

Or you can also choose to be alone.
As much as possible, I tried not to impose things on the players. Even River can be ditched at the start of the game, if you don't like her.
Do you have any updates on Bleeding Moons? Is it almost finished? I've been waiting on it for a very long time and would be devastated if you'd decided not to release the finished English version of it.

It's been a long time since the last update, sorry.
But there is good news!

The game is finished and almost ready to be released.
What remains to be done is the correction/polishing of the English text (huge undertaking with 175,000 words!), some more playtest to be sure that no bugs are hiding in the shadows and getting the key illustration drawned.
And after that, finding a publisher.

I will also update the demo with the latest build and improvements when the text is ready. The current one is 2 years old!

If everything goes according to plan, Bleeding Moons should be available around this summer, earlier if I'm lucky finding a publisher quickly.

I literally have checked this page every day since posting hoping the full game is uploaded. Lol. Have you had any luck finding a publisher? Are you almost ready to release it?
The ilustrations took more time than expected. Poor artists have too much work and too little time...
But it's coming along nicely.
I can't give an ETA yet as it'd be premature. Since last year, if I had posted a date each time I hoped it was okay, that'll be like the tenth time I postpone the release.
I prefer not to say anything rather than lies. The way things go, it's still sometime this year.
In any case, the game is done and fully functional. And all the testers liked it, so when it's released, it won't be for nothing ;)

I'll post updates when I have more concrete info for you all. Hopefully soon!

Ooooooh, that's interesting ^_^ Really looking forward to its release. Hope everything is going smoothly on your end. :)
So how is everything looking? Do we have a release on the Horizon??
No release date yet, but it's coming soon™.

Technical QA is done. It just needs another pass at proofreading for the English version, just in case.

A new trailer is also on the rails. There are many I'd like to tell you, but it's too early to reveal everything.
You'll have to believe me when I'm saying that everything is coming just fine. :)
It looks Great I can't wait to play it.

It's not just that last choice that will determine your fate.
Your killer told you what you did wrong during the course of the game, and warned you beforehand.
Your actions and your words have consequences!
hey quick question how to resolve a bug
i am in the atic where patrick was i descovered the secret door entered it and pulled the lever at the end.
now i cant exit the atic.
what to do?
when trying to return to the atic it prompts me to make sure the tunnel leads to a forbbiden area .
next to the level it prompts to not step out of the tunnel.
saying the sliding is broken and dont know how to open it from the other side.

You need to walk to the desk on the right to trigger the next scene.
The walking area is small on purpose, you'll find it quickly.
