Game Title: Northwall , by Zevia

Synopsis: Guards at alone outpost search for survivors. A complex story where the player decides which characters to adopt and take through to the finale.

Story: The guards at the outpost at Northwall note in increase in attacks in the area – culminating in some horrific scenes. Driven by fear, hunger and desperation, Suven leads an expedition to find answers and supplies from the nearby town… only to find death and destruction. As the land falls into chaos, a mysterious demon plagues Suven as he faces some tricky moral decisions.

Gameplay: This is a great game, where the plot is very intricate and detailed. There are several key decisions to make which will affect the make-up and goals of your party. In addition, the world is changing, so often you cannot go back as you go forward. There are some great puzzles in here too, where you need to think, which is refreshing. The combat is brutal and it is recommended that you take every opportunity to fight to try and level up before the final boss – as there is no going back!
Worth mentioning some of the excellent in-combat skills too: you need to think strategically in-order to defeat some of the harder bosses and the abilities of your party are incredibly clever and new to me.

Look and feel: The music is uplifting and apt, the graphics are solid, and - be warned - very gory in places.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyable: the main character’s arc through the story is great to experience – and it does succeed in trying to tell a slightly different type of story: where the concepts of ‘good‘’ and ‘evil’ are not black and white steroeotypes – everything has an extra dimension here.
I would rate this game as 4.0 / 5.0: the difficulty in battle is a real challenge and without going back, it can be quite punishing at times. However, some of the new characters and combat-abilities are amazing!

I'm really glad you enjoyed your time playing it, even if it may have been a bit punishing at times.

Hopefully you felt the difficulty was fair and not random, at least? I put forth a lot of effort in attempting to make the game feel balanced.
You are very welcome! It is a great game and a real challenge - you've managed a nice difficulty curve and an interesting game, so thanks again!
