Welcome HOME, dear puppeteer.
This world has been waiting some time for your arrival. The tables
of balance has been turned, and the fate of the world trusted
into a familiar face. The guardian of zone 0 himself, The Judge. Your job is to lead him on a new journey, masterful puppeteer.
This world is wrapped in an enigma, a shroud of confusion overlapped the
once peaceful zones. The true guardian of zone 0 himself has the very marrow
of his bones rattled with the feelings of Deja Vu. The day that he would become the marionette of the new world is coming, and upon your very arrival the world will undergo otherworldly changes.
Just what is going on in this world? Why has the switch been reset? Has The Judge forgotten everything that happened? Has the world been reversed to a state of pristine ignorance? Only you can find out, fateful puppeteer. You will travel the world, and meet the guardians you know so well. However, you will face enemies and foes unlike anything you've imagined. New allies will join your side, and new personalities will be explored. New places will be visited, a zone that defies the logic and reason of the world you know. Puzzles that expand beyond the game and into our world. You will become one with your puppet, and in your combined state you will bring the land to the closure it deserves. The fate, and the direction of that closure however, is up to the decisions you make. Choose wisely my friend, its up to you to save their HOME.
HOME is a non-canonical fangame created with the permission of Mortis Ghosts, the creator of OFF - the game from which HOME was inspired. You take control of The Judge in this project, and see the world through his eyes.
New characters and enemies are introduced in this story, with a combat system that's more threatening and challenging than OFF's style. HOME makes uses of the elements and status effect system and stretches is as far as possible. It's recommended you play Mortis Ghosts "OFF" before you touch this project, as this game and its entirety is connected and continued after OFF. Playing HOME without first playing OFF will not only lead to spoilers but will lead you to a path of confusion and detachment from the entire world.

Hey there i recently started the game after another playthrough of OFF,so i wasn't completely lost,and ive got to say it's been a blast so far.
Anyways,since this is my first playthrough im kinda lost in the water,ofc im trying to find everything and i think im going strong till zone 4.
The thing is im now at the save on floor 10 and i still havent figured out a way to open? the bookshelf where the guys are near the elevator on floor 1.(it has an outline on the floor hinting it's a doorway)
Now i dont know if there is a secret at all but the nearby bookselves are hinting some stuff,couldnt find anything though.
So i guess im missing something and i dont want to move forward on floor 10,no idea what comes next but im pretty sure it's a boss and after that rip zone 4,so if anyone has an idea how to open that bookshelf,if it's even openable you're welcome to toss it to me.
that ground pattern over the bookshelf on floor 1 is to hint the importance of that book. There's no hidden doorway there don't worry.
Heya Judge, thanks a ton for making this game! I absolutely love it, from the new sprites to the actual drawn images and the themes/remixes! I have a question though; I just cannot for the life of me find the dopefish in purified Zone 3! I've been to the room with water in it in area 3, but there's nothing to interact with.
I might've already gotten it before it was purified or something, but entering passwords into the computer in zone 0 doesn't bring up any new stairs. Could you help me out?

in white zone 3. It's in area 3 in the treatment rooms. There's a piece of paper on the table, interact with that.
If you already got it before hand. Maybe you missed a different zone?

those are the dopefish locations. There should be a hidden staircase at the top of zone 0. As for the computer, you make the computer appear by finding the hidden room in zone 4. Check inside the north house near the hospital, keep opening the door.

Thanks for the quick reply! If those locations are correct then I'm certain I got all the dopefish. I have both computers and I've entered all the passwords, but apart from choosing Yes to accept them, nothing happens. I've looked all over zone 0 and there are no hidden staircases for me. Maybe it's a stupid question, but could it have something to do with me having already unlocked the courtroom?
EDIT: I got the image with the hidden dopefish in the Good End, so I'm assuming I've found them all, but still no staircase.

thats the latest version. I suggest visiting all the dopefish spots and see if you truly got them all. You got the one in zone 1 right?
Other people have gotten the arena so I know its reachable, just trying to figure out whats going wrong on your end.

I'll continue to do my best on helping you find this bug I'm just confused as to what could be going on. Finding a dopefish increases a dopefish variable by +1 and the stairs appear when the variable is greater or equal to 5.

Anyway, I made this account just to comment about this Dopefish thing. I'm using 1.0.2 on hard mode btw. I've found the fish in Zones 0, 1, 2, and 4 (all when colored) so there's only one left to go. Even after reading this thread, I can't find the one in Zone 3 (while purified). Seems I'm in the same situation as kotoribirb. I just want to make sure I'm looking where I'm supposed to be. Here, right?
I've clicked on and stood at every point in this room. Does flipping that switch deactivate the fish? Does obtaining the Calendar, entering The Courtroom, equipping the Sugar Collar, or getting the Zone 0 computers do anything to affect the fish? This stuff may sound weird, but I'm out of ideas.

Wow. I just discovered that this one is bugged. thanks for helping point it out. For some reason the event only checks if the hero is facing left, and as you can see, facing left is impossible here.

Oh, that's great news! I thought I'd just somehow managed to mess up on getting the stairs :') It hasn't made HOME any less enjoyable for me but of course I'm super curious to see what the stairs lead to. Thanks so much for keeping me (us?) up to date, it's been a huge help (as well as your previous posts!).

I haven't yet. I stumbled upon the comment before mine in Latest Posts and saw your post and figured it almost had to be intentional and if not I would point it out. xD
It's definitely something I might try soon, but I've been on a kick to play games that have no exposure/unrated and give them reviews/feedback. You seem to be doing pretty well for yourself :P
But perhaps, casually I'll pick this up sometime!
