What a cool... PANORAMA!

Hello!
I like movies, and I watch lots of them so I was surprised when I saw this... Panorama! A game dedicated to the actor Richard Reed (1937-2016), known mainly for Mission: Impossible (1966), the Doll Squad (1973) and Ocean's Eleven (2001).

Panorama is a complete game made by RPG Maker VX Ace by Ardaz, the only game we have here from this developer and a very short adventure that you can play in less than an hour.
As mentioned before in this game we play as Richard Reed that has to go to a party in his honor, since the Academy is celebrating one of the biggest stars of Hollywood's golden age. BUT before he can go and celebrate he will have to shoot a couple of scenes... and that's where the game starts!

This is a game of... CHOICES!

Panorama is a short adventure game where we we'll play as ...that is playing the role of various characters in different genres of movies: there is a detective movie, a love-comedy, a haunted house horror and so on. The enviromments are small but well furnished, and it really represent well the various movie sets. But how is the gameplay? Well, surprisingly varied I'd say: we have sections in which we have to select the dialogues, a dancing minigame, a part in which we've to search a room, and so on. It's a small game, as I wrote before, but a good collection of various minigames packaged into a pretty unique storyline.

Visually the game is pretty good, it's all RTPs but the mini-settings are really different one from the other pretty much perfectly realized (not to mention that also our protagonist will change his appearance and clothing to play the various roles), I also liked the effects like the sepia tones or the scale of grey to represent some particolar movies, my only complaint is that the studios are large and there is a lot of walking to do.
Music is also very good, it's pretty unimportant, bland and forgettable when walking around the studios, but when Richard Reed starts acting in various movies it really shines, creating instantly the perfect atmosphere for the particular setting that will be represented!
The only problem I found in this game are a couple of typos, by the way it's pretty short but solid and well done, in fact there are not game breaking errors of any kind.

Yes! I know that I'm brilliant, thank you very much!

Final Verdict
Panorama is a nice surprise: I expected a boring game, and instead I got a little collection of minigames inside a nice frame, an original and interesting story that parodies the movies, actors, producers and directors. Surely this is not a game for everyone (it's not very complex or long), but for me it was a relaxing and fun!
