Imaginary Friends is a RPG Maker VX Ace horror/puzzle game that explores childhood fears and loneliness. You explore the main character's childhood by solving puzzles, while covering the past events to find the reason why she doesn't have any friends. The Game relies more on psychological horror rather than jump scares and gore.

The Story
14-year-old Hailey has spent her entire summer vacation alone in her room. Her mother wants her to go outside and spent time with her friends, but the problem is, she doesn't have any. That is about to change soon when Hailey finds herself in an imaginary world. With the help of a mysterious young boy with red cap, she has to confront her childhood and herself.

CloseThis is a great game! It's a bit frustrating though - I thought I solved all the puzzles that could be solved and made all the friendly decisions possible, but I couldn't open the second lock on the safe in the school. Where could I have missed something? =(
I don't wanna have to start over from the beginning and watch all the cutscenes again.

I had used the crayon to draw a dog, because after seeing the way the red boy behaved, I thought I'd have to be nuts to draw a boy. But drawing a boy got me the key.
Edit: I was wrong.
Even though I opened the safe and got the drawing of Oliver, and then opened the pink Hailey's Friends book, and put together all 7 pieces of the drawing, I still got ending 3. What am I missing?
Also, a bug report:
When you arrive in Cloudville, if you go left and get the scissors before talking to the king, it skips all his dialogue and you get "how is your quest going?"

I actually finished this game some time ago. I really liked it and the endings really strike you on Haley's part.

How the young Oliver transitioned into older Oliver. That really was a mystery to me, since there was a shadow of the older Oliver kidnapping his younger self.

Hi thanks for the but report! To get the best ending, you need to open the safe and the pink book, but also collect all the 4 parts of the "story of the lonely little girl" so I guess that is what you're missing. If not, there might be a bug. If it's so, send me private message and we'll figure it out. :)

You need Ace's RTP, you can get it HERE.
It is required to run most rpg maker games. It's pretty much the run time package, as the title suggest. It contains all the default rpg maker stuff.
not ALL rpg maker games require it, I said most do. Since they are going commercial they usually make it so that RTP isn't required. But if you do want it to work, you'll definetly have to download it.

I love Korean shovelware MMOs just as much as the next bot scripter but be sure to read the rules before advertising your affiliates.

Actually it does :) But you can beat the game without solving it, it is needed to get the best ending though.

But about that avatar, that's Homura from the absolutely fantastic anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It has a dungeon crawler game on PSP and an action game on Vita but they were Japan-only releases. It has countless fan-made games but the only one I'd recommend is the PC game Grief Syndrome.
