She's actually sad because she lost her nose somewhere and is looking around for it. The King is actually point her to its location. The guards, as you can tell, are also looking for it. The Prince is rather bothered by the fact she lost her nose.

Omg this looks so lovely! I love how the shading is minimal, and the vibe is so 90's / 80's! I also love how you chose pixel art in favor of CG! It looks stunningly nostalgic!
