MAGE DUEL
THE RMVX GAME WHERE YOU ARE A MAGE AND YOU DUEL OTHER MAGES WITH MAGIC!
Premise:
You are a magic user from a distant land who has fallen on hard times. Because of debt, crimes convicted of, or just plain old bad luck, you've wound up a gladiator in the magic arena of Lord Algus, where wizards duel one another to the death for riches, fame, and the hope of freedom, but ultimately, for the entertainment of Lord Algus and his customers. Of course you want out of this life, but the only way out is to fight. Make a name for yourself in the pit and you'll go far; if the audience loves you, you'll have money, power, renown, and perhaps you'll even earn enough gold to buy your own freedom. But every duel means another dance with death. Can you win your freedom?
Can you do anything to stop Lord Algus's vile blood sport?
Can you even survive?

Nice game, but you gotta do something about alex, silence on evokers is just unfair. Either allow monster fights to be able to level up enough for him, or enable a cure for silence that evokers can use. Overall, it was fun, until i got my ass handed to me by that guy like 20 times :s

Ok, fun stuff so far, but the repetitiveness of that "announcer" sequence before each fight does get old fast. Perhaps you could quicken that sequence from the 2nd time forward?

Awesome game, 'til now... I wonder if it will make any difference if you choose to let him alive or kill him. I just can't wait to play it again.
I like it generally, but pit master burl is a bit to much of a bastard. I have seriously had dreams about ripping out his entrails and selling them as washing lines. I don't want him to be nice, just not constantly acting drunk.

The key to defeating alex is one skill. vampiric grasp, jsut keep casting that over and over. vampiric grasp has to be the cheapest skill ever.
Thanks for playing the game alexjones50. In the second act, you will encounter both equipment that provides resistance to absorption (for both you and enemies) and you will have to encounter with enemies that employ this and other "cheap" tactics that were effective in Act I.
Mage Duel is cool.
But I think you should really add the function of automatic HP/MP renewal after each fight, since you can do it for free anyway; it would remove the (quite frustrating) need to walk to the sleeping room, wait for the jingle to finish, then tread back to the arena. Same goes for screen panning before each duel.

I had an Evoker/Conjurer and all I did to win every fight was cast vampiric grasp and osmosis and I would summon a zombie for the actual beating up the foe part.
