This is my entry for the RPG Maker 2003 Golden Week entry.

You are Renard, the Blue Thunder. And you have a known history for felling monsters and powerful foes in the past. You even have clashed with your rival, Hiro, the Red Blaze on occasion.

However, this very rival has decided to call a temporary truce in order to work together on a mission requested by the Kingdom of Karneal. They seek the four treasures of Karneal to awaken their sleeping guardian from its slumber.

You along with your rival, Hiro and one of Karneal's healers, Faylen, you must make your way through the four dungeons and collect the Four Treasures of Karneal.

LLR Blog #2 (Plans for Director's Cut?)

Hey there, it's been a few days since this was released. And my downloads are... tiny. Mneh. It's to be expected, game just came out, and mine wasn't exactly stellar anyway.

Anyhoo, do I have plans to make a Director's Cut? I'd like to say yes. But I'd sooner want to have this made on VX Ace than 2k3. I can do everything on that game. *fondles VX Ace*

The only thing I may do is fix some stuff on here and maybe add one or two more things on here then this game is done. I did want to cover more on Renard's backstory, but that can also be covered on another LL Title later on down the road. Don't think this will be the last you'll see of Renard.

So yeah, thanks to all who took their time to play the game.

This game is in need of some fixing. After a brief cut scene in the forest the game goes to a black screen. While I can still access the menu I don't appear to be able to do anything else.
Shit! Alright, I'll fix that right now! Sorry about that!

Yeah, this was the result of my being unable to test it a second round part. Because I was rushing to get this finished by the deadline. X_X; Hopefully that's the only big mistake that was made.
Everytime Faylen attacks this message appears:

"Cannot open spear1 file"

Also, can you reduce the random encounters in the overworld?
You need to have the RTP to play it. And having the program helps too.

EDIT: I included the RTP in the game now, for you people who don't have rm2k3 or the RTP.

I actually have both RTPs, the one for RM2K3 and the other for Rt2K3 (plus the main program)

I will try to play without Faylen attacking...
Oh shit! I know the reason why! Haha, I derped. I imported the picture files from RPG Tsukuru 2003 and, too much complications, I'm going to update it again and it should fix the problem indefinitely.

Edit: Fix'd now you should have no problem with having characters attacking normally.

Thanks!

Edit:

Got a serious bug, when I got the Coral Orb (forgot his exact name) a message appeared telling me to go to the castle, I went and a cutscene showed like I had the four orbs, and they were talking about ninja or something but I never encountered someone like that... back in the town this characters Biggs appeared and joined the team, even though I never met him before...

So yeah... better fix that, some suggestions:

- Too many enemies in the dungeons, it became worse because the enemies are too similar, just mash attack

- The boss battles were hard, I had to grind until I was level 9 to have a chance, the problem is, like I said before, the enemies are too similar and boring, and I feel that the enemies should give a little bit more experience

Other than that, the game looks nice, nice presentation, maybe just a bit boring...

Overall... 2.8/5
Alright, thanks for that. I fixed the problem you mentioned.
Help!
Stuck in the tower. I activated 2 switches, but can't proceed, blocked out. There's nowhere else to go. What am I missing?

Love the game.
There's four switches not two.
Thank you for prompt response.

My problem is, I have no idea how to get to the other 2 switches. Is there a hidden passage or staircase somewhere?

From the 1st floor, there are 2 staircases one in the center and one on the left. From the central one on the 2nd floor, I go right and down the staircase to the 1st switch in the small room. In the middle is the long avenue of statues, where I'm blocked, to the left I can see other staircases, but there's no way to them.

From the left staircase on the 1st floor, I go up to the 2nd floor, then down the passage with 2 statues, up the staircase to the 2nd floor again, then around and up to the 3rd floor, where the 2nd switch is. From there I can see another switch and treasure chest, but again there is no way to get to them.

I've been running around for so long, I gained like 7 levels, still can't find a way to get to the other 2 switches.

I know I probably missing something so obvious, I'm going to feel stupid.

Huh! Well, this was a slight blunder on my part, there was no path available to get further through the tower, how did I miss such a vital spot in its design!? Iono, but the game has been updated to fix that.

Sorry for the mix up there. You should be able to get through the tower now.
Thank you very much!

Now I can continue playing. Enjoy the game very much!
