After a long hiatus (work and life related) I am working on Hero's Realm again. I really want to get this game out COMPLETED before the summer...
I have outlined the plot until the end of the game, brainstormed all the quests and mapped several of the cities.
In terms of gameplay, I have code a party switching system (to both toggle between the 4 parties on regular maps AND to cycle through the 4 parties in multi-party caves). A multi-party cave would be like Kefka's tower in FFVI - you can cycle through the available parties, while in the inactive parties remember their positions.
Furthermore, I've coded a flexible multiparty battlesystem, very similar to FFVI (again), with gameplay similar to scenes like the moggle battle defending Terra. It's pretty slick.
Special events in Chapter 5, such as the Monobaraba sandstorm and the piloting of the Colossus (pretty cool!) are also complete.
