Kentona, the final battle best be epic, long, and hard...!!! Since you were using a lot of FF6 stuff for the monsters, I was beginning to wonder if he too is also one of those. Or maybe from another game? Or custom!? =O

And, like every other monster in HR, the final boss is a FF6 sprite. In fact, like many of my bosses, he has TWO FORMS MWAHAHA! Am I predictable, or what?

If he is, then I can only think on him either being Doom, Poltergheist, Goddess (Lawl), or Kefka. I don't think there are much left to suit the all-powerful "Lord of Demons!"
I didn't use Kefka, but I used Poltergheist (the giant axe guy) for one of the Dreadlords (Urok, the third last boss), Atma for the Skin of Darkness (second last boss) and Doom is the final form of the Demonlord. Good guesses!

Huzzah! Can't believe I forgot about Atma, though. Heh. That actually seems pretty awesome! I'm in the process of doing another playthrough of the game, so I'm gonna stop before reaching the end of Ch.4 The final version should be out then, anyway!
Ephiam, you've played through this more times than anyone (except, perhaps, me). How longs does it take to play through? I have a terrible time estimating, since I know all the game's secrets. My time estimates are biased.

Hrm. Well, for me I'd say about...15~ hours and up. Or maybe alittle less. I'm not that great at estimating, either, as where I said Dragon Fantasy took 12~ hours, someone took 23+ to beat it. =|

Ohh! One more thing! In the icy snow fields before Balthalas'(?) tower, you can fight that metal contraption. When it runs away, is it SUPPOSED to stay gone, or is that just some kind of...error? Because I tried walking in-and-out of the small camp and it didn't appear anymore after the first time. Or am I just missing something? >_>

Huzzah. Then I'll have to go back there in the final game and try and take it down before it runs away on me again.
Man, I'm getting ansy. This year-long project (yes, I started in April 2006, but I had at least 3 hiatuses, 2 of which were 6 months long) is almost complete.
Play Testing is done for Ch.1 and Ch.2. Just started Ch.3 today. So far, I've played about 4 to 5 hrs. At this rate, it'll take a total of 10hrs for Chapters 1 thru 4, and, given my ballpark estimate of Ch.5 being equal to Ch.1~4 in length, total game time will be between 18 and 20 hrs.

Great! I'm really looking forward to it. Think I'll have to start a new game, though, as I can't remember where I was up to last time. Oh well. ^.^ More fun for me~
