Hello, warriors!
Lv27MarkerMan is a developer that I did not know, and author of two games here, the only one that is complete is called "Spirit Blade" and it's a RPG Maker VX Ace classic rpg adventure with a party of all female heroine, starting from the protagonist, Moxia!
Who is Moxia? A little girl raised by the legendary hero Brax as a warrior since she was a baby after her merchant parents died. Since Brax defeated the Demon Lord and did a lot of other great deeds, Moxia could not sit and relax so she kept training with him until he suddenly disappeared! Two years later, Gide, an old friend of Brax, meets Moxia and tetls her of a rogue attacking a nearby village. And for Moxia this is the perfect time to start and adventure and see if she trained enough to become a great warrior!
The game includes normal battles, boss battles and... arena battles! Uhm ok, that's not exactly new!
Ok, the plot isn't very original, but trust me it gets... worse! It will involve crystals of infinite power (uhm I swear I've already heard of something similar... anyway in this case it's also weird: IF one of these gives INFINITE power, why would I need all of them? Makes no sense at all) some dumb villains and side characters that aren't really fleshed out, and that's a pity since many of them (like Goldi, for example) could have been potentially interesting. Except maybe for Moxia, but that's because she's the protagonist and she is also rather comical but still not really original!
The game is apparently a classical rpgmaker game with a party of heroic girls, battles with monsters and mandatory bosses, but there are some aspects that were tweaked. And I did not like all of them!
As you can see mapping isn't very... exciting in this game! And that's just one of the countless examples!
The impossibility to miss the attacks if not blinded, is ok for me, but the set damage based on the stat, and the RNG that has NO effect on damage is something that made battles more boring, totally removing the element of luck from the game (but hey! Special attacks are much stronger than regular attacks! Yeah, just like in other games!). The game has also a very high encounter rate for the random encounters nd that's also pretty annoying!
Concerning visuals these are... not good! Mapping is terribly boring, and well, I did not mean the RTP-only choice, there are many games where RTPs are used to make good maps, but not here. And this happens for the world map, for the dungeons and for the towns. In short, everywhere! Most meps are bland, barren, huge and... mazes! Mazes everywhere! I mean, not only inside dungeons but also on the world map there are mazes of canals! ANNOYING! Not to mention the endless coastline that's a straight line! Come on...
An old guy named Deus, that looks like the typical rapresentation of God... or Gandalf the White (that's practically the same) cannot be an easy boss. But we'll defeat him!
Final Verdict
Well what can I say? From the pictures I expected a classic Rpgmaker jrpg, unfortunately some design choices made it worse than your bland standard RPG Maker VX Ace game... if only the system had been left as it was! Sadly the terrible mapping does not improve the things, and if you expect this to be a parody game, well no! It takes itself even too seriously! What a pity... I cannot really recommend it, even if you like classic jrpg game, since you may easily find something else that provides a more enjoyable story and gameplay!
