Hello! The most voted character for the second character reveal poll was "The Maid." I'm sorry for not announcing the poll on RMN right away, that was my fault. However! It is time to reveal the character! Without further ado...

“I only had met her father a few times before his arrest. He was more than just a loser and a fraud. He was a thief, liar, abuser… and yet the only person who never saw that side of him was her. She knew, yes, but she denies it even to this day. Why? Because no one else ever showed her that kindness or love unconditionally.”

The second revealed character in TDOP, here is the official portrait of “The Maid” AKA Esther Allemand.

Once the rumors had died down about Walterson Mansion many years after the demise of Helena and Emmett Walterson, Josephine had started opening up positions for maids to work at the renowned mansion. With the amount of hearsay and gossip that spread around the town, it was hard to employ anyone.

This didn’t stop Josephine. The mansion was huge, with the two children and the divorce ongoing at the time, it was too much too handle. So one day, Josephine had gone out to a prestigious private school where one of her cousins worked. She had ran into a young girl and the apparent father of the young girl.

The young girl and her father had been going through struggles lately. The man had lost his job and was going through a divorce as well. Josephine had then proposed a deal: If the young girl worked at Walterson Mansion as a maid, then Josephine would pay for all of the girl’s tuition. They promptly agreed to the deal and Esther became the first maid to work at Walterson Mansion.

No one really knew Melrose like Esther did, not even Melrose’s father. Without Esther’s kindness and warmth, Melrose would have been an extremely different person. Esther will be a prominent figure in Melrose’s chapter.

I hope you enjoyed this small snippet of Esther’s story. Thank you all for following TDOP on RMN and as always, thank you for following the development of The Doctrine of Perseverance.
