I think the tint looks way too saturated. If you just want to go for a prom night feeling I would recommed having the screen be dark with a very slight tint of blue.

It alternates between red, green, and blue, like party lights. I know it kind of looks funny in a still screenshot but it looks better in motion, trust me. |D;;

And the lights dim during a cutscene that takes place here so it's not a permanent thing anyway.

Oh! I see! I would still recommend not having it be so saturated though :P Looking forward to seeing it in action.

It doesn't flash CONSTANTLY, it alternates every 3 seconds or so. Also I'm not sure why you guys are that fixated on the color when you'll be seeing for like, a minute at the most...

Mainly because it doesn't look very good. Even if it does change, it's still an eyesore to have to look at something with too much saturation >.< And if the other colors are so saturated too it might look pretty bad. Personally, as I already recommended, I'd suggest making the screen dark with slight tints of each color instead of very bright tints of each color. Here's two vids(video to gif converter did not work >.<)I made for you for comparison.
