Progress Report

A step backwards.

This blog will be different from the usual ones. To start off with I have gone and made many changes making the previous demo falsely represent the games new direction. I have uploaded a demo but it is an incomplete demo. I would rather have it be longer but figured this would be a good opportunity for people to playtest it and report the problems. That way the came will be more polished in the long run.

Known bugs
- Mysterious women doesn't actually show up in Dylan's play through
- Katherine will turn into a box if speaking to her (It is so you can play through the cave with her.)
- Some students dialogue is mixed up
- Guild hall is a work in progress
- Demo ends with repeating dialogue from an ealier scene on Ariel's playthrough.

The new 3.0

Well this is probably the most drastic update, I have ever made.

Progress Report

Testing File?

Due to me finding out about a game crash by serving a certain someone at the restaurant. I released an old version of the full game to fix this issue. (The newer version file sizes were way too big).

You can find it in the downloads section labeled as a testing file. You can give feedback but keep in mind the version has many things that have been changed. If you don't find anything in this list feel free to let me know about the issue.

-many rooms are unfinished
-Some buildings can't be entered
-enemies need more balancing (Skeletons are supposed to be that strong)
-Characters need more personality (Lots of placeholder dialogue)
-Names of places are inconsistent
-Cyrus/Quincy ruins is VERY incomplete
-Missing descriptions
-Grammar fixes still underway.

If you want to try out the game I would suggest just playing the Demo (Main Download). But if you're interested in its development feel free to try out the tester version. Thanks for playing.

To the Mountains!

Hello! It's been awhile so I figured I would give you guys an update on whats going on! Here is a list of what I've been working on toward the full release.

-Fixed missing files in the diner
-Can talk to each character individually (Learn everyone's back story)
-Tweaked enemy difficulty (Harder)
-Enemy's don't re-spawn after being killed (Dungeons are the exception)
-Weapons can now be synthesized
-World is more lively (NPC'S react to what you do and more scenery added)
-1/4 of the map has been completed
-Currently working on the winter area

Keep in mind this is just to let you now what is going on and isn't included in the demo! If you do find something in the demo that hasn't been addressed let me know. Thanks for playing. :)

What's going on!?

The last version of the demo I uploaded will be the last version until the full game is completed.

Instead of uploading the game bit by bit, I'm going to upload a fully complete version. But I'm not going to leave you guys in the dark. I will create a new blog every once in a while to tell you what is going on with Dynastia.

So here is what has been completed.

-Two big forest areas have been finished and the outside of Hillsaw Valley has been completed.

-Changed a few grammar errors and spelling mistakes.

-The base has been expanded

-More dialogue has been added and now your relationship with Dylan affects the first quest

-Balanced everyone's skills better

Attack of the font!?

I just realized it was missing files, so that has been fixed along with other changes

-Font has been changed (this is temporary as it is so big it makes some things go off the screen, I haven't found anything I like so far, any recommendations?)

A whole 2.0!

Thanks to HikiNeet. I was able to find a boatload of spelling mistakes and grammar issues. So here is the big list of changes.

-Added in an ambush!

-Changed title screen and added exit button

-Boatload of dialogue fixes and changes

-Added more enemies in nightmare

-Transitions work a lot better

-Added in more npc characters

-Took away purple crystals

-Changed assassins starting magic

-Characters start with more moves

Huge Fix

Hey so when I changed the intro for the demo, I had forgotten to turn some switches on causing choices to make the game glitch out. It has been fixed and should work properly.

-Fixed training Area Glitch

I'll be going through the grammar and whatever else you guys find in the next update, thanks for the feedback.
