Okay, so… I guess I’m putting out the demo tomorrow.
I made a whole lengthy note about it already on my Tumblr, but I figured I'd update here, too, even if I'm not as active here. I'll try to have it posted tomorrow, but if for whatever reason I can't get it to upload to RMN, I'll make another blog post containing the link.
Also - I know I'm pretty quiet here on RMN. I suppose I'm a bit afraid of spamming or just... to be frank, I'm not entirely certain what to do with this page, besides tack my game onto it when it's finished. Anyway, if you'd like more regular updates on things, I'm more active on my Tumblr than anywhere else.

It's the tradeoff for exposure. Have the game in one place and you only have one place to manage, but fewer players. Put the game on a bunch of different sites and your downloads will multiply but you'll also have to maintain support questions on those sites or risk players thinking you don't support your product. There is no best answer. Follow your heart and shit like that.
Anyway, awesome on you for getting a demo done. Thanks a lot for letting us know. I know I'll be watching for it. It looks absolutely delightful.

That is the issue I keep having. I'm just not very good at upkeeping the various pages I can post on. Although most of the updates that go to Tumblr are just small things - mostly to prove that I'm working and getting progress done - while I try to keep major updates posted across all platforms I use.
But thank you! The demo doesn't run quite as long as I'd like, but I hope it's good enough.
Aye. Really all you need to keep tabs on everywhere your game is hosted is if somebody asks a vital question or posts a bug reports from one site that another site's patrons don't mention.
I'm on the opposite site of it. When my game is done I should make a tumblr account for it because that's a real hotspot for RM games but bah I really don't want to.
It's all about making sacrifices for the sake of our games, really. I plan to just have a doc with links to all the pages my game is on and check it as part of my morning routine. I can recommend doing that. I've been using the method for anime I watch for about 15 years without problems and although the purpose is different the outcome is the same. Open links -> brush teeth and wash up -> check links while coffee is being made.
