Creativity: 3.5 out of 5
The author does some neet things with this game design. Using cartoony fasesets and moster graphics, help make the game stand out. Plus the there are no random battles and a story that is as far form normal as they come.
Story: 2 out of 5
Everyone is traped in a big tower. What is outside no one knows. Some poeple don't like it though and they want to get out. Your a kid who misses he's mommy so you run away from the kids wing to see her. When you get to your mom she wants you to stay with her so she try's to keep you. Decent in that it differs from everything else that we have seen. The only problem is that I dont really care about the characters. The author does nothing to relate their plight to anything that I have faced. So I just felt detached. Athought the character could be fleshed out after the demo ends.
Sound: 1 out of 5
Most of the music the author uses does not fit the game. The first section and the battle music have a cartoony feel. Which sound great however the farther you get in the demo the less and less cartoony the music gets. It starts to get dark. Which just does not fit. I just could not get in to it. The author showed potencial for great sound there just needs to be follow through.
Mapping: 2 out of 5
The very first area is very windy back this way then back that way. Just bad map design. Then there are big hallways with not many places to go. This intemidates you and makes you feel lost most of the maps are just to big, with to much unsed space. However some of the monster floors look great.
Lasting Appeal: 2 out of 5
At first you like the refreshing things about this title, the cartoony graphics and music. And the no Random battles make backtracking painless. However after those things begin to get old you realise that almost all the battles are the same. They all use one or two moves and you can only use one or two moves. This makes battles very repetitive. The whole game feels like one big dunjon and if you dont like dunjon crallers this game in its current form is not for you. The story could pick up some latter but what is in the demo just does not seem like enough.
In Closing: 2 out of 5
I know that this is the 5th game I have reviewed with none of them getting a score above 2. My overall scores are an average of the other categories. This one is the best game that I reviewed so far. This game is good, And I want it to be great. I just can't seem to get hooked. This game needs a hook. If the author could make the story more exciting or make the battles addicting this game could be really bad ass. However the way it is now it just falls short. Good Luck I will Revise this review when the next version is released.

Making the overall score an average isn't a good idea. If you thought this game deserved better than 2/5, then give it better than a 2/5!
hmmm...well I disagree with alot of this, however I've heard other people talk about the lack of attack variety in the early parts of the game, and that first section is awful and a reflection of my inexperience with my own battle system. I don't know what bit of music in this thing you think is "dark" as all the music seems very light to me. TMT raises a good point, people are more likely to see that 2/5 than the part where you said "this is the best game I reviewed so far" fortunately I've let this sit on the shelf for so long I doubt potential players will be scared off
I stand by this review. I do an average so that my personal feelings are broken up in the catagories. The review score would be higher if the game was just a little better in each catagory. This game is almost there. I will update this review when the next version comes out. TooManyToasters if you think the game review is to low, review it yourself. I am the only person who reviewed this and it has been out for awhile.
