Well, I will say, this is my first review ever, so yeah, might be odd, but let's get right to it :)

Game Design
>Storyline
The story was decent, from what I could see. As it is a horror game, though, I can excuse the fact that there isn't really any story, to begin with, and we don't really see much of one for about half an hour into the game, if not more. Once again, though, it is a horror game, and with this genre of game, one does well to not spill the story too much at the beginning. Thus, I thought it was decent for what I could see. However, being stuck on the second floor and spending nearly an hour and a half looking all over to advance the story, and to see more, I got tired of that and stopped. I'm sure there is more, and better, of a storyline as it keeps going, but I sadly could not see more. I award 2.5/5 stars for the Storyline.
>Character Design
I found the character design interesting enough. The two main characters felt believable enough to me, and I was able to care enough about the characters within the first hour, to try and keep them alive more than before. Neither character is too similar, so as to make it seem like they were just copies of another, and they both had different speech patterns. I also loved the idea of how each character said different stuff to different things they saw. I award 3/5 stars for the Character Design.
>Level Design
Ah, the level design. Otherwise known as mapping, the map layout, and tiling. No matter how one chooses to call it, the level design in the game is the main area I find it to be lacking. The best map I could find was the main character's house, and even that I was not fond of. The street maps, I honestly did not like, although, the school was pretty cool. It would have been nice if there was a map of some kind. (But I might be biased on that since I do love maps :D) There are some parts of the map where the character will walk on top of things when they should be behind the tiles, for example, walking on top of a house roof, instead of behind it. The overall atmosphere of the game is very well done, though. Which is why I would give the level design a slight bit more. I award 3/5 stars for the Level Design.

Programming
>Controls/Coding
The controls and coding for the game seem to help it. I didn't notice any, but one script used, and that possibly is all that is really needed for a game like this. The controls seem to work well, the layout of them and such. This was all done well, indeed. I award 3.5/5 stars for Controls/Coding.
>Eventing
The eventing in the game, basically how the dev handled making the events, was done decently well. I haven't found anything handled wrong with this. No dead ends, so I think this was good. There is also a decent amount of events for the character to “click” look at, which I find it adds more to the realness. I award 3.5/5 stars for the Eventing.
>Gameplay
The gameplay within this game is decently done. Though, it would be nice if there was some form of direction in the game, whether it be a map or a journal system. I was left wandering around the second floor wondering how I would be able to get past this part of the game, and after a few hours I gave up on that. Other than that I think the gameplay is decently well done. I award 3/5 stars for the Gameplay.

Artwork
>2D Art
The 2D artwork is very well done in this game. It is, what I would consider, an Artistic Horror. The character images look great and touching slightly on the atmosphere, it all looks good and fits with the game. I award 3/5 stars for the 2D Art.
>Art Design
The whole art design of the game is very well done, and I really enjoy it. There are parts of the game that I was nearly astounded, I first realized how awesome it was when you get to the second floor. I highly recommend playing the game just for art design itself. I award 4/5 stars for the Art Design.
>Sprites/Tiles
The sprites and tiles of the game are decently done as well. I think the characters in the game look good enough, and the few monsters I have seen are pretty cool also. The basement holds a few awesome sprite designs also. I award 3.5/5 stars for the Sprites/Tiles.

Audio
>Sound
The sound in the game is well done. It isn't too much, nor too little. Whether that be menu sounds, walking sounds, door sounds, and so forth. I award 3.5/5 stars for the Sound.
>Music
The music is very good and helps attribute to the atmosphere of the game. It was just there, and I honestly couldn't tell it was there, so that is a good thing. I award 3.5/5 stars for the Music.
>Recorded Dialogue
Though, there is not much of this, in the game. There is enough, and I did enjoy what there was. I think it would be great if there was more of that in this game, which there very well be. I was pleasantly surprised too. I award 3.5/5 stars for the Recorded Dialogue.

Overall
The overall feeling I get from the game? If I could sum it all up in one word it would be: cool. As you can see from my First Impression video I did for this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osx5iU0OkN4. I recommend this game for anyone who likes art, horror, the both or wants a fun game to play. I believe I read that this was the first game the dev made, which I say is a very good start. The game still needs a bit of help, though. Help in which I would be more than willing to help with. Some things that would need work on, is the fact that when you click on the pencil case, it shows you have collected none when I know I got about 3 or 4. Other random things like mapping and placing things on walls. Things I really enjoyed was the art, the characters, the slight humor, and the few puzzle features. I award 3.5/5 stars for the Overall feel of the game.
