Thx Frogge! Going for a simpler and cleaner look than before, I like it a lot better.

Thanks Punkitt, I think so. I used the town from FF4 as a reference, but I feel like it has its own woodsy flavor.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

It bothers me that you remade an SNES town in an NES tileset and it looks better instead of worse. Why does it look better? Why are FF4's graphics so bad?

That's easy. It's the difference between an NES tileset at the end of the system's life when the designers were masters of their trade, versus an SNES tileset at the beginning of it's life where the designers were still figuring shit out.

Something just kinda dull about all those adobe buildings, although after years of close scrutiny I realize the ff3 tileset has a certain ugliness to it as well. Dunno if I can quite say this is a kosher NES tileset, after all the rips, edits & recolors it's kind of morphed into its own weird thing.
