I honestly prefer when my eyes can focus on a smaller part of the screen and read the text without jumping from one end of the screen to the other. Like in a book. Or on websites. : )
I also would hate it if the textbox would constantly change its size with every single message... The current textbox size is meant to hold the longest parts of the text from my game.
I'm sorry you find it less comfortable to read the text in a smaller space. : ( If it turns out the majority of people prefer the text to be as spacious as possible, I will make a change in my next project. : )
