OGG

All the songs in this version of the music pack are in OGG format. They all have loop points built in them, so every song will loop non-stop when played in your game. All the extra repetition in the OGG versions of the songs has been cut off to conserve space, so some of them don't last as long in media players as their MP3 counterparts do.

MP3

All the songs in this version of the music pack are in MP3 format. This version has been tailored to be more like a regular videogame soundtrack release.

I use Anvil Studio 2011 or 2012. It is one of the best MIDI creation programs out there. It is simple to use, and there is a ton of things you can do with the MIDIs. I just started creating music, but I usually use Anvil Studio to edit existing MIDIs to my liking.

The Midis I get are from VGmusic.com and there are thousands of them from old generation games as well as several 2000-2013 games.

I had a feeling It would be expensive. The only thing I'm looking for is a way to import my midis and make them sound like mp3s. It doesn't matter to me if its a lite version, as long as it can do that i'll be satisfied. I'll just go down the list and see which ones I like best. So I'll try FruityLoops, GarageBand, Synthfont, and Reason. For the Midis I use Anvil Studio. Thanks for your support everyone:)

I think you'd be interested in this site:

The EAWPats & Chorium soundfonts get the best results IMO. My method has been to run the midis through this site at 256 kbps, open them in Audacity and go to Effect > Amplify to get the audio at consistent levels, crop if necessary, and then re-encode.

The downside is that if want looping points you have to add them in manually somehow.
Thank you so much for this!! this is one of the most helpful sites i've used for music. It gives the music Mp3 quality, but I would love to edit it myself with programs as well. This site converts MIDis and gives them MP3 quality instruments and I LOVE it. This is perfect:)

For the editi9ng, I suggest Synthfont, as I said before, becuse you can pick your own soundfonts. a Be careful with Vgmusic- some arrangers prefer you ask before using. And Yo7u know I'm still working on new stuff as well. Did you check out Wolfram and the other stuff? For that matter, did I send you Melody Raiser?
I would Love to use synthfont, but my mom's laptop is running on a disc due to the fact that a virus got on it and unless we get the disc, I can't work on my games or use any program that has an exe at the end. I'll check out the other stuff ASAP and I really want to check out other programs, but I can't. Solmire is one of the greatest sites and I've been looking for something like it for a long time. Once I get things back together again I'll try out as many programs as possible.
I notice a lot of people scratching their heads over the loop points thing. I've been batting the idea around in my head for some time to write some music/sound tutorials, since it seems to be a subject there are precious few guides for in communities like this, while other resources (*cough-graphics-cough*) get all the attention.

Looping would be a good starting point. It's also something I've always had a knack for, so why not share my secrets?

Do it. Because it baffles me. (but then, so does composing music!)
Out of curiosity, since this was mentioned briefly before, but are there plans to also release the tracks that didn't get approved for the set in a downloadable file?

Not on their own, but you can still download them separately here.

Since they're not in the music pack, the original composers may have quietly held onto the rights to them. You should probably run a request by the composers before you use their music in your game.
can anyone please make char+faceset for 4 heroes at the cover?
It will be awesome stuff for my project.
please T_T
ummm.... why are you posting this on the RMN Music Pack resource page?
I used a couple songs from this in a game. I loved listening the whole pack!

I have been using this music pack for quite a while, just thought I would drop by and say that I love it very much! They are all well done and suitable for games.
Is it possible to use in commercial projects? It says to be used in Non-commercial but usually you can talk to the artist and ask for permission...since this is done by multiple artist I guess that would be hard to do haha

Just checking out of curiosity, haven't found a song quite yet that I absolutely need
This music is great. When listening to it the memories of so many diffrent games come to mind. Great job guys.
