I like your first picture, how often do you do pictures like that?
Not very often, one off thing.

Could I see how big the picture you want done is please?

Actually, it would be about as big as...

The area in this screenshot above the dialogue box. If that's too big, that's cool, but if not, hey! Let's rock this sucker! I don't have any example pics yet, because I'm currently in the process of drawing them.
I really don't think I would have the skill for an image that big, it's not that I don't won't to, if I had the skill I would be making more stuff like that.

For my game Chronos Adventures, It's sort of a mix between Chrono Trigger and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. It takes place in various timezones, ranging from Early first era to the end of the fourth era(Gio Adventures Time), with a central hub world to switch between times. The main goal is to attempt to prevent a war from happening, aka the
"6k year War." Traveling between times is used to mainly gather information about the war itself, as well as going to random times by accident. The goal eventually becomes much bigger because of a dark force trying to destroy the planet, and control all of time. The battle system is like Mystery Dungeon, so sprites of monsters are going to be used to fight the heroes. So...my request is if you could make sprites of most RPG Maker VX RTP monsters, not including enemies with spritesets already, but mainly any RTP monsters A-J. I'm not good with spriting, so my teammates are also going to work on the rest of the RTP & make some original ones. I don't need them right away, I just wanted to let you know, so take as much time as you need, provided you accept this request.
I've never been too good with sprites and RTP sorry.

I am v. sad to not be working with you. I hate the RMVX terrain tiles soooo much.
Sorry man.

OK, I am working for Relyt so please no more requests.

Max, sorry but I think I'd rather go with Relyt. It's just that I think it will be easier sticking to 16x16. And I really no nothing of VX and how it works or anything. I hope this is alright?

I personally prefered A link to the past. It was a lot more challenging then the others. I also tried the the first and second zelda games. I got to the third temple in the first and I beat the first temple in the second. I played minish cap on an emulator, But the game got screwed when I was fighting vaati at the end. I also loved Majora's Mask. (The pirates/gerudos were sexy)
I never played majoras mask, I bought it but my nintendo broke. >:(

I don't really like any Zelda games except Link to the Past for SNES, which was AMAZING.
Yeah, awesome game.

Max I'll try do the helicopter first and see if I can do it, I'll also try the animation so it might take a week. :-\

Ooo! Ooo! This might be perfect! It's a bit very different, but I'm desperate for someone that can pull this off...

Do you think you could take drawings, and sprite over them to look like in-game cutscenes? Basically, if I gave you artwork of this style:

Could you make it look like something along these lines:

Obviously, I don't want you to convert THAT particular picture, but if I sent you some smaller pics in the aspect ratio of the screenshot above, would you be able to make it look like a SNES cutscene?
I really don't know if I can do it to be honest, I've never really handle anything bigger then 128x128 pixels. Could I see how big the picture you want done is please?

I know my request breaks one of your listed rules but I am hoping you will make an exception because of how awesome I am you are WE ARE.

To be more specific: With 'giant mech fighting game' above I mean a semi-linear jRPG with arena-style combat and a huge focus on character customization and battles in a vastly-customized turn-based front-view battle system.

Also think of this as your chance to get better with trees!!!! ;D
OK, so you've got the characters and everything, just not the nature side of the things? And will I be able to see the graphics you are using to see if I can make similar graphics to the style? If you are uncomfortable with posting them, feel free to pm.

Adventures in Exclastia
-----------------------

Was going to use RTP, but this would definitely be WAY cooler.
It's a mideval game about You and your adventures in rescuing Princess Leanne from the mighty dragon. It features a CBS (in the works). As for graphics, I'm a gonna need...

Area Graphics
-Some field graphics (similar to what you did above)
-A Castle (interior & exterior)
-A Cave
-A Forest (if you're not too good with trees, we can work something out)
-An evil castle (interior and exterior also)

Character Graphics
-As for the player, I'm looking for an RTP Zack type character. If you don't have RM2k3 RTP, I can show you.
-There are two other main characters that go along with this.
-Drake is a farmboy who's in love with the princess. Up to you
-Gaines is an out of work merchant who wants to join up with you.
As for the additional characters, PM me.

This is all very minimal, I realize. PM me for more info if you're interested.

Could you post or pm me with some more of the story. Sorry, but the story at the moment seems too cliche and most games I've seen with this type of story never gets very far.

Okay, time to sell myself....

The Creator
1. I have been making amateur/indie games for eight full years now.
2. I have released three highly regarded complete games and over ten well-received demos.
3. I am- like it or not, believe it or not- more or less a pillar of the community here.
4. Learn More: http://www.ghostlightgames.net/

Game (Not yet on the above site)
Concept: Thoughtful, post-post-post-apocalyptic dystopian mystery, exploring the idea of how the galaxy ended, crashed headlong into a giant mech fighting game. If you can imagine Shadow of the Colossus with giant fighting robots (basically Shadow of the Colossus meets Front Mission) kind of like that.
Engine: RPG Maker VX. (I think maybe they use 32x32 tiles? Whatever...hear me out young man!)

The Request
I have some found some pretty cool ripped/original resources for futuristic "upper level" stuff and walls/ceilings for RMVX. My problem is actually not with that, it is with the basic terrain and plant and wildlife tiles. My game requires large outdoor areas, including a lush, terraced garden world (kind of like Ara Fell), a barren, rocky tundra/wasteland, a snowy coastal region, and an area that looks a little like undeveloped japan in terms of geography (sakura trees, etc.). And other filler areas. Everything the 'outdoor' tiles looks like 'adventure in RTPville'. Apparently it is possible to make appealing maps with this...I have seen a few. The map called 'Hidden Path' in Harbinger of Souls is one of them. Of course, in a game where everything has to be two tiles wide to allow for giant mechs...you see where I'm going with this. I hate the outdoor tiles (both autotiles and objects) for RMVX RTP. I'd like new ones.

I do not have time/patience/audacity to request a full set of game resources and I can fix/live with (more likely live with) any issues with your resources clashing with the ones I have already myself. So the proejct is...design terrain/autotiles/tile B level outdoor objects for RMVX that don't suck. Oh yes, graphics should scale with both Mechs (graphics will be included, but they are only about 4-6 Meters tall, not truly giant fighting robots)) and people (I am using reformatted RMXP RTP style graphics for the people; people are about 50% as tall as mechs on average.)

Appeal
This will take vastly less time than designing a full set of graphics, though is far more in depth than just one or two things. Your work will appear in a good game/demo. Plus if you like a challenge, working with the crazy/annoying restrictions of RMVX is bound to test your skills to the limit. Also I would prefer you release your work open source w/ full credit to you and I will just take and use it...I presume that is a pro, not a con?

In conclusion:
Pretty, pretty, pretty please.

So your not requesting, buildings or characters or anything. You'd rather just have terrain made to go with your ripped graphics, am I right? And if so could I see the graphics you use now?

Hey there, another Aussie. ^.^ Welcome. Yeah, Zelda isn't that bad. I liked 'A Link to the Past' best myself (I've got a soft spot for SNES RPGs), though OoT, Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass were all pretty good games too.

See you around the boards (hopefully) ^.^
Aussies own. Yeah snes games were good. :'(

Right section? ???
OK, my game is going know where, I drop it every single time I start. I've had some commitment issues with games, never been able to stick to them but I want to change that. I want to learn not to quit. Here are my qualification and preference.

* I work better with tilesets then templates and sprites. But I'm willing to improve.
* I only do 16x16 tiles.
* I'm not so good with trees.
* I'm better with modern resources, but have experience with futuristic and medieval.
* If you want a 2 bit game(Think Gameboy) , I can tackle it pretty well.
Here are some stuff that I've done, some are quite old too!

Inspired by Mirrors Edge.

Old RPG.

Testing my animation skills.

Testing my monster skills.

Testing Icon skills.

I don't know how often I can work on PA, I do have other stuff in my life. Just thought I could try and help.

Just post info about your game, what you want done, and what genre and time zone your game is and I will get back to you.

I don't like Zelda games, sonny. I've been not liking zelda games since before you were born.
Ah well, everyone has their on tastes I guess. Millions of people like WoW, I don't. I admit my "well lets face it you know nothing about games", was a little harsh.
