Stick with me bud. All those others think "gameplay" is important. Bleh! They're all against us. We know that pretty maps and jazzy overlays are the future!

My honest opinion, you need both. You need good mapping with a beautiful tint and fog(Tint and fog can make or break a map), and you need gameplay to keep the player while he/she is playing, cause just maps isn't going to do that.

And yeah, that I made. I used 3 colours and it was for a PA challenge but it was accepted. It didn't quite follow the rules. ::)

Hey, I'm 006. I'm sure you don't care about an intro just information on me so here:

I'm Australian, and 14 years of age, and have 3 years experience in RPG Maker XP (VX is bad!) . I don't use RPG maker XP much anymore, I mainly focus on Pixel Art, and learning CG to become a 3D artist. Though with no artistic skill whatsoever I started with PA. I joined the forum because the ruby behind RMN looks cool. And if you want to know my main RPG Maker XP skill is mapping. I think that's it. If you have any questions just ask.
