@Darken: Why post anyway if you're not gonna help?

I agree with Mako to make a nice frame for the bottom, but, then again, sometimes frames make it looks worse than it was before, so it might become a challenge if you're not good at that stuff.

I don't think you should worry about that much, though. The game is looking great! :D

Is there really a need to get the most expensive stuff?

I think that it's better to just get something that gets the job done. No need for fancy looking tools.
