Making a character temporarily invincible (or at least close >_>) during battle? (RM2K)
Is there any way I can accomplish this with RM2K's battle system? (Also, is there any way I can induce a condition upon myself, using an item of some sort?)
Experience point script for VX
I honestly have no idea if VX supports this, but in RM2000, I would simply have a common event where everyone not in the party gets the same amount of XP the battle was worth, set by a variable (You would have to set the XP variable for each monster party at the beginning of the battle).
Set another common event to determine if a character is in the party or not, and if not or if they are dead, give them the EXP. This avoids characters getting double EXP for surviving.
Set a third common event that determines if the XP variable is greater than 0 (including less than 0 is fine if you must (you would in RM2000), even though you won't use it :P) and if so, give the XP and set the variable equal to 0 so it doesn't constantly give XP.
This is how I would accomplish it in RM2k, and I would assume that it would work in RMVX.
But I have no idea and if in fact it doesn't or somebody posts a better/easier way feel free to ignore me.

At the end of it you're jumping to Label 1, which is at the top of your menu (except after it shows the pictures so if they are removed it won't reshow the pictures)
Generally what you want for this is an Auto-Start event with a switch trigger. Then structure your event like:
Do initial stuff here, like showing pictures
LOOP
Meat and bones of menu like getting player input, processing input, logic, ect.
Condition: If the player is done (their input was cancel), break loop
END LOOP
Wrap menu up, stuff like removing pictures and turning off the trigger switch
Sweet, thanks! I now have an understanding of how the loop/cycle thing works. Awesome...thank you so much.

Okay, so I've got my CMS all set up and such. I go to run it, it works fine up until I try to exit the menu.
The hero is unable to move. I solved this by making the menu event parallel process instead of Auto Start, but then the hero is able to move while the menu is accessed which is not what I want.

-Not- selecting a transparent color for pictures? (RM2K) [Resolved]

When showing a picture (not importing), look for 'Transparent Color' and select None
And there we have it. I now feel stupid.
Thank you, GreatRedSpirit, for making me feel this way. (Hey, at least I'm informed.)

Any way to do this, mainly for pictures? Or will I have to just make one little pixel transparent in a far off corner and hope nobody notices it (my picture covers the whole screen?
(AKA One of those questions where once you guys explain it (if it is in fact doable) I will feel like such an idiot for not realizing it because it is either A.) obvious or B.) Stated in some help topic I've scoured for about an hour while glossing over the one thing I need help on. :P)
Much thanks in advance.

Before you completely go off of RM2K/RM2k3 in favor of the more recent versions, I'd suggest you check out one of the better games created using it: the Flashbulb Madness.

It, in my opinion, shows the true potential of RM2K. One of my rather influential inspirations.
This guy is a pretty brilliant racketeer but he is still basically a racketeer.
Way I see it is, at least he isn't forcing you to pay for it. That would truly be racketeering. All he's doing is asking for a donation if you liked the game, which if you thought his game was cool/worth it you would pay. Otherwise, you wouldn't. Simple as that. >.>
New here.

Hi! Set up your game here so at least you got an insurance on your site (freewebs is known to wipe off sites without warning).
This honestly won't, I believe, be necessary. The site (& game) is so old by now in comparison that I wouldn't really mind if freewebs wiped it. I'd just make a new one. >_>

The website is as ugly as sin and I can't find a download link. Also, why would I 'donate' for a strategy guide?
There is also a 100% chance that this game could be recreated in XP and VX, but made better.
On "donating" for a strategy guide, don't we do that whenever we pay for a strategy guide? (Mainly why I don't, internet is so much easier (and cheaper :P))
And I don't mean to sound rude, but did you even attempt to poke around? The links are right there at the top. (I do agree that they should be more clearly labeled, but they are there nonetheless)
