No, two different events in the game pan above the roof to show you the entire castle. If your game doesn't do that then I suppose don't bother.

i don't think there ever were any animated doors.although i could be mistaken. a sound effect combined with switching to the 'open' or 'closed' graphic would probably be sufficient. i've always felt animated doors are somewhat unnecessary.
Me too. However in my first scene, I want to show a squad of soldiers breaching a building. The door has to "open" so that the soldiers can go inside one by one without too much visual confusion. So if one door opens, the player will probably expect them all to do it.
Anyway, I started working on animating them. Share and share alike, right?


Theodore doors?
I've had all of Theodore's assets and decided to make a short game with them. However, in going through all of them, I can't find any animated doors. The only doors are on the chipsets, not on any charsets. I have only one charset (sikiri.png) that has an animated door.
So, did I just lose only the door charsets somehow, or am I remembering wrong and there were never any animated doors? If anyone has the animated doors for the Theodore chipsets, much appreciated if you'd post. Thanks.

It can be quite addictive. ;) One time in testing I turned 1200 gold into 154,000 gold. Just bet $100's, then $1000s when you've a comfortable amount.

What I would suggest is just to make a fade in/fade out after you use the item itself and not every time you try to access or close the menu.
Unfortunately that won't work in RPG2003; the screen must already have been tinted in order to use the item without the map screen popping up momentarily. Therefore, it is necessary to tint the screen every time in case the player decided to review the file. Even if the item's common event has the tint screen at 0.0 seconds upon use of the item, it's too late, the map screen has already shown.
