The Prince and The Dragon

the castle was heavily inspired by/edited from a existing commonly seen map :D

are most if not all maps just premade with edits?

The first map is modified from a default castle. Our lead writer set up the early dialog in there and overhauling it was low priority. As far as I am aware the initial castle area has the only maps based on a default maps in use. I may not be aware however as their are several maps and I didn't check each map against the defaults. I know at least one LOOKS like a bit like a standard map but is from scratch... however that region isn't accessible in the demo.

the guy on the right chair said talk to your dad not your papa. but they are the same thing!
oh...never mind
so neither of the 2 guys are your parents and you're not living with your mother who is in town because?

The complex back story of the Prince's adoption is clearly not well conveyed in the current version. Noted.

i love how the scene scenes bring you across the world map and town!

Forgive but given the mixed review I have to ask, is this sarcastic? Removing direct control of player movement for any period of time has been a hot topic and while many like it some find it incredibly obnoxious. My hope was to use it to speed the initial plot along and prevent the player getting lost along a way that the character should know well.

i am glad you keep your level when changing your class

not sure if its because its a demo but not all skills are learnable.
its not clear why you cannot learn some skills despite having enough lp to learn them.
as far as i can tell changing your class does not do anything
do you only get lp for the class you currently have equipped?
so you cannot learn everything?

The text manual draft didn't make it into the download and I guess the in game explanation is lacking.

All skills are learnable. I think the ones you are thinking of belong to classes you have no points in. You get points in the class when you level up with it chosen. You can learn each class by switcing between level ups.

I'll be fixing up the demo and included a revised manual draft in the next version. Thank you for your very helpful feedback.

The Prince and The Dragon

The nun and ability to enter Madoro by ship are bugs. Good catch, they are fixed in my copy now and will be updated in the next upload. This is why it's beta.

Enc is Encumberance. Basically how much you can carry.

Glad you like the menu. It's a slight tweak of Mr Trivel's item menu I made for the project: https://mrtrivelvx.wordpress.com/2014/06/05/item-window-with-bigger-description/

I'm glad the library description works. I made all the stats equally important and useful to different builds so I wanted to make it clear which stats would be good for what. I personally hate having to sit through an early game info dump that I can't absorb all at once.

The left hand water is in fact a hot spring, fed by a geyser further up. Hot springs are rather common in volcanic regions. This particular volcano isn't a dead zone so much as an extreme and alien climate.

Yeah, in retrospect that does look a little odd. I'll fix it before release.

Class Summary: Commander

Testing has shown it to be a pretty nice ability, since it means you can call up any Skill in the party on their turn.

On the other hand managing Focus is sort of the Commander's thing and granting Focus to the target will make them able to use abilities more regularly.

Glad to hear it. That's actually one of the earlier combat backgrounds that was done but unlike some of the others it hasn't called out for revision.

The tile based backgrounds are interesting to make, you have to keep a basic floor/wall setup but otherwise have a lot of freedom to decorate without worrying about normal playability.
