[Fun] Worldbuilding 101: Building Tycho

Gah. I was afraid something like this might happen! Blitzen?

(20 second difference. What were the odds we BOTH happened to be writing our entry at the same time?)

The entries don't necessarily contradict each other, though. One could say mine describes what happens to HUMANS. Mine also gives a "what happens on the outside" whereas Orochi's describes a stomach condition. Judges?

Spontamach

Spontamach, or Rotflesh, as it is commonly known, is a disease usually contracted by humans foolish or suicidal enough to eat Tov Berries. Once infected, the victim lasts usually no longer than a day, although longer periods of agonizing suffering have been reported and recorded throughout history (Notably the death of Marquis D'Avola who was given wine made from Tov Berries by his enemies).

The infection begins upon ingestion, which may be severe, minor, or even non-apparent at first. Patients usually complain of intense pain that may seem in excess given the fact that nothing happens right away to the outward appearance
of the victim. With progression of the disease, tissue becomes swollen, often within hours. Diarrhea and vomiting are common symptoms as well. Inflammation does not show signs right away if the poison is deep within the tissue. If they are not deep, signs of inflammation such as redness and swollen or hot skin show very quickly. Skin color may progress to violet and blisters may form, with subsequent dying of the outer layer of skin. Patients with Spontamach typically have a fever and appear very ill. Mortality rates have been noted as high as 96 percent. Only one recorded case of survival exists, the case of Tomath Pfefferdern, a farmer who claims to know of a cure.

The first known case of Spontamach is recorded in A History of Embria and is described in detail in the Battle of Xeitas, where many men fell to arrows tipped with Tov Berry paste.

What game has the best soundtrack?

I would have to say Castlevania SoTN, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quests 7 and 8, and most MegaMan games are definite contenders for best overall soundtrack.

Koichi Sugiyama rules.
