Yeah, it's refreshing to hear someone not get all butt-hurt over honest criticism.

Thankfully I haven't run into that problem on this site yet. I imagine I will at some point, however.

Half the stuff IN moronic is profoundly retarded! (thank goodness it's just THERE).

There's a problem with encouraging people to post more, but then secretly not WANTING them to.

Just thought i'd give you that observation, from an almost month-old user perspective.

(and some users need to stop complaining to other users about things that they're doing that annoy them but they themselves do constantly!)

Please do not make a new topic and then "justify" it. This goes against the rules for one, and for two it MAKES MY LIVE MISERABLE. I included topics like this in the wiki but it is a PAIN. Thank you very much for this review ... my word I did not know so many things were messed up :| ... the:
-Passabilty settings
-The time (I did the time system all by myself with not help what so ever, so i was quite proud with it) though glitchy at times i thought it worked fine (Guess not)
And please, thats unfair to say i ripped the time of day system from harvest moon. I mean I haven't even played that game, til this day. I hear alot of people talk about it, but never have I played it ...

Well, what I mean when I say that is that it's too reminiscent of whatever game I am comparing it to, and that said game always came first.

I like the idea, but the execution requires some serious fine-tuning, my friend!

Yeah, it tends to cheapen the value of your game when you do that, in my opinion.
Unless of course, it fits with the scenario well, which in this case, I thought it didn't.

-Midi: I guess we cannot have midis from other games? And Lami's midis were all rearranged by myself with anvil studio ... I downloaded the one "Demori - summer" something like that ... and I went and edited that single midi to sound different at different times of the day.

You went kinda lazy with the nighttime music, it's just a slowed down version...
Then there's that common RM game complaint; a lot of people agree that music from
commercial games is a bad idea in indie games. Because it's your game, there's other
places I would encourage you to get music from that won't remind people of those other games. There's threads even on the forum that can point you to good midi places that AREN'T soundtracks from other games.

-Relationship System - Never played Thousand arms ... so I did not take it from that ... took me a rather long time to make but i guess you didn't think it was necessary

If you're not intending to do anything with it, no. But if it's part OF the game,
then I would refine it and really make it fun to go after the relationships.
I would also eliminate the "easy to exploit" problem. Make people (like in REAL life) WORK for their friends and relations!

-Spelling - Rose Inigma was mispelled purposely (Na just kidding ... Ok I'm bad with spelling, I'll have to look out for those in the future lol!)
-Voices - Removed!! ... I just wanted to make it seem like how The Sims is, but guess that did not work out :o

Yeah, it comes off as wanting to be Japanese so badly it hurts. The reason it works in Sims is because there is no reading to be done, it's all in their acting and their movements. It's all body language. In your game there IS text, and worse, text that doesn't mesh well with that Japanese voice acting that makes no sense.

-Butterflies - I don't know if you noticed, but there is a golden butterfly that actually has a big part in the game, If you no catch him ...

The VX remake will address all of these issues, in fact I may just use this review as a kind of guideline when remaking the game.

I look forward to a new and improved version that'll really make me want to play,
and where the systems work great and improve the fun!

As I said before, I was young when i made this game and this is / was my very first game ever :p

Yeah, there's a whole thread about "mistakes I made with my first game!". No one's first game is perfect, my friend. Admirably, you did sparklingly for a first.

I've only played Symphonia like a few months ago (Or the beginning of this year) I did not steal this name ......

Well, it's really a common name. I'd discard it altogether myself, unless you're REALLY set on it, of course.
