Sure, I can do that. I planned on streaming today, so its a great start.

Aura's Lets Try Stream: SInce this is the name of them now....*REQUESTS OPEN*

Hi there, people. Yes, I know. I'm trying this again because I've been busy with work and play. Its crazy, being so professionally busy with jobs. Anywho, I'm good for Let's Tries...which actually means I play through the whole of the game and would like to have them on Skype and the chat or messenger to increase our connectivity between reviewers and the game designer...being a gamer and a reviewer as one helps...and talk about the gameplay, narrative and more.

I have Xsplit equipment, and I've done this several times with Love And War, Shattered Hearts, Alter AILA, Legend of Dondoran, Paradise Blue, and I will keep playing. I have many games to choose from, and I'd like to hear from all of you. Requests are open, and I'm planning for this on Weekends-Saturdays and Sunday afternoons-and go for a good time. Roleplaying-long or short-is all good and I'm looking forward to trying some of the other genres we've made as well.

I hope to make this well and good. Please, let me know and send in the requests.

NicoB's Let's Tries/Plays! *REQUEST YOUR GAME HERE!*

You get a lot done. I'm very impressed. I'm trying to do streaming myself more since I try to give into and analysis to the designers and stuff. Good work, seriously..

If I had to place a request....Hero's Quest? Love and War? The Way?

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Holy crsp, I'm named after a card game? Hmm, that might be contrived enough of a silly reason for me to give it some analysis.

I'm looking forward to this.

Fable of Heroes I: Legendary Edition

I have a really small window when playing in Windowed mode, and I do not know how to fix that since I can't stretch your game window. Does anyone know how to do that?

Yeah, it takes me awhile.

Yeah...its me again. Work sucks. Work really sucks, and I wish I didn't have to be so busy, but I am. But I am also given some rare moments in time, so I will be playing/streaming some games down the pike for the foreseeable future. Apparently, there has been a lot of activity that I want to be involved with.

That being said, I will likely leave a comment here if I'm streaming (it will be here: Your text to link here...) and I will come on and leave a message for all who come. If possible, I would like to get designers and creators of games to leave more effective constructive criticism, and we can talk on either the chat room there or Skype. I tend to be pretty good at this, so please feel free to let me know.

Anyway, I'm back for the moment. Lets see how long this lasts. ^_^

Aura's RM2k/Game Streams: I'm Still Kicking

Attention: Moderate potentials and Conservative creeper sc-You know what, I'm not good at this. Strange post thread stuff I'm no good at, so let me clear the air.

First of all, I apologize to Ephiam. I haven't played in quite some time since the middle of October, I know. Your Superboss kinda hit my morale, and a couple off-screen attacks built me a strategy, but not the drive to try again. That has returned.

Second, I've been SO BUSY with my three jobs that I've only found time to play games instead of record on stream. Over this thanksgiving weekend, I have some more time. I am attempting for Wednesday afternoon, since I have very little happening that day.

Also, and thirdly, I have not given up on this. I like to play games for you all. I am just very busy-as I'm sure many of you are-with lives and work and what have you.

I'll see you all on Wed.

Aura's RM2k/Game Streams: I'm Still Kicking

Oh yeah; it's gonna be on. TO that, I am certain.

Also, for next week, I don't plan to be busy at all except Sunday. We'll start right and good on Sat at 3:00, but Sunday I'm gonna pull it back a half-hour just to give me some time to veg from now on. So Saturdays at 3:00 and Sundays at 3:30. Doesn't look like I've got a crowd this Sunday, so I'll leave it there for now. Being busy and doing writing tends to cut into schedules.

Aura's RM2k/Game Streams: I'm Still Kicking

Fair enough. I will do just that before we start on Saturday.

Now, for the record? I guess we could call these Let's Tries? But for the record, I don't really have a set schedule on RM2k games; I play them as they are presented to their completion or if someone wants me to switch things up, I will. This week will be Eternal Paradise, but I also welcome other suggestions in this thread as you wish; as I've said before, I tend to get analytical and talky about what I see and like or don't like, and I provide some suggestions and criticisms on the fly. I encourage more interaction in the chat, and would love to see more people there next time.

Anyway; Saturday. 3:00 EST. I'll be there. Will you?

The Customer Is Always Right - Perception Of Designer & Player "Responsibilities" In Amateur & Commercial Video Games

For the original post, I do see where you're coming from; As Ephiam will likely tell you as I'm playing his game in-stream, that I am not one to generally detract him for his game design choices, but my own choices because I made mistakes. We talk about things in stream and chat which hope to fix and improve upon different ideas-I did the same thing with LockeZ's Vindication-and I generally find myself trying to make different choices and actions in my own play-style to enjoy and immerse myself in the game.

Commercially, games are very much the same way for me as I approach Independent games. I try to play them with thought and comprehension of the rules before I move forward and apply different strategies. Only if I start to see flaws in the gameplay itself or the narrative itself do I start calling foul. Hopefully, I'm making the correct distinctions, but one can never be sure. However, if the designer has called foul on very cruddy ideas or concepts beforehand or is well-known for their recent title to have glaring issues, I will be skeptical.

I think its human nature to be wary of certain issues, but not exactly vengeful or unhappy because of the standards we place. I play the game, I bring enjoyment as I can-or learn to create it in some cases because I like to make my own stipulations-and I have fun. No need to place standards and tension upon the designer unless there is a real problem, that's what I say.
