Silent Eyes
Downloaded this earlier, and played for about half an hour. To be honest, this game just doesn't do it for me for a lot of reasons. Here's some tips:
- Add some direction to your game. I mean, I'm tossed onto some island, and somehow one of the main characters smell some food and suggest that there might be a town nearby? And it doesn't really get better.
- The dialogue is bland. Add some spice to it. Give it that "interesting" factor that really captures the player's attention, or he/she will get bored pretty fast. And another thing, don't add NPCs just for the hell of it.
- The general world could use some work. For example, the town just doesn't cut it for me. Three buildings, four of five NPCs who give bullshit information, and walls of trees?

Everlasting Journey

@BareGamer: Not very far unfortunately. :(
Here's my plans for Part 2:
-First off, your previous saves will work. This is because the same map that has the "Here are your stats" thing is on has an event that will teleport you to the next area. It's just a matter of making one event auto-start and the other event "on action key," effectively disabling it. I've tested this already and it works flawlessly. Part 2 will include Part 1, and just be called "Everlasting Journey."
-I won't reveal any major details about Paul, but he will return! One thing I'll say is that at the end of Part 1, he used some kind of gravity magic against your airship, causing you to crash through the southern winds. Gravity magic will be explained as an "extension" of Dark magic, but it takes a lot out of the caster, so it's rare.
-Your starting goal will be to find a few airship parts. This won't be a traditional fetch-quest, as you'll have chapters in-between. However, it will all occur on the main continent of the southern half. There will be a couple factions that are at war that you'll have to help out in some way.
-I kind of want to split everyone up during the above section, but it hasn't been decided yet.
-I have 3 additional playable characters planned (for shadow, holy & gravity spells), making 10 total. Paul is not one of them, but all will be completely optional. I have their charsets & facesets done so far, but haven't finalized their names yet.
-There's going to be a Japanese area, where one of those characters will be found.
-There's going to be more lore about magic, and why the southern winds exist. You'll find the source of the southern winds, and destroy it, giving you access to the entire world map once the airship is back up & running. Most of the other lore will focus around Dark & Holy magic. The towers you've seen so far serve as abstract explanations to the origins of magic & magic users.
-Athesis & Val will both get more backstory. The other characters so far get additional backstory through the completion of the sidequests before fighting Paul (Floo - Ortia Tower, Phillip - Isis, Borland Tunnels, Sueto - Flogle). Dukem Tower is more of an epilogue for Duke, and gives you some nice puzzles/items/etc.
-There will be at least two endings. One where you don't pay off Roger's debt, and one where you do. I haven't decided if I want to make different endings depending on the love interest you pick, but that's also a possibility.
-The Ortia Tower sidequest introduced mixed element spells (Sand - which is Earth & Wind). I want to add a few more of those ("Crystal" will be one of them). They will all be available as Tomes that you can give any character.
-Years ago I had a very vivid dream about a red/orange dying forest with a bright green oasis of sorts in the center of it teeming with brooks of water and life. Since I can't draw or paint very well, I've always wanted to map this and use it for a pivotal part of Sparrow/Athesis' relationship (or lack of one). Story-wise, this is going to the toughest to do right.
@Tragar5: Lvl 40? Damn, that's good! I think the highest I got was Lvl 37, but only grinded a little bit. I would actually love to see some new reviews! Go for it! The other two reviews were from my horribly unbalanced version from over a year ago!
Have some good ideas there. Best of luck to ya!
