Sadly, I'm canceling this game. I've just been way too busy with everything from school, spending time with my wife, and doing work that I just don't have any spare time to spend working on this game. I once had a great vision for making a fun RPG that my friends and others would love to play, but sadly that may have to wait.
Maybe I'll come around to do another game, but sadly, I won't be finishing this. Thanks to all who played my short (and pathetic attempt) at an RPG.

Help with Variables
@Solitayre: I found a huge bug in the system I was making where the hero would recieve 1 skill point after he levels up but it kept on increasing continuosly.

Help with Variables
Is there any way to have a common event constantly check a hero's level (parallel process) and have it so that when a hero levels up, it adds +1 to a variable without having it constantly loop? I'm pulling my hair out on this one. Please help.

You probably have a parallel process event on your map that keeps refreshing constantly and it's lagging your system on the world map.
How to implement a timing key press event
I'm trying to implement an event where (take for example) you have a bar that goes from left to right. On the bar it has a small green area while the rest of the bar is red. Then you also have a marker moving from left to right and you have to press a certain key while the marker is in the green section to make the event work.
I'm using RM 2K3 btw. I tried using pictures to simulate it and got up to having the marker move along the bar. I just don't know how to make it so that you can press a certain key at the right time.

For those that don't read the blogs, I've took down the main download for the game to fix major issues/bugs.

Yeah I'm also going to drastically improve the mapping in the game. I'll put out a new demo sometime later with improved interface for the menu system. And I'll also increase the game length to include more of a backstory to each character. It was planned but not executed to be in this demo so that's part of the reason behind those plotholes you mentioned.
If you don't mind, maybe you can replay and re-review the game again with the improvements once I put out the new demo? If not, that's ok. I'd just like to increase the rating a bit lol (Don't we all).

Thanks for the review. I'm definitely taking notes about what you said. As for a healing character, you probably went to the forest without talking to the king first.
