The game is released! Nov 27, 2014.

There has already been some complaints about brutal hard or unfair difficulty. And all I've got to say are these things:
1) It was initially a lot harder and unfair before testers got their hands on it. They've castrated it to the point where three groups (3 groups!) of testers with fresh sets of eyes went through the game and whittled down the difficulty to the point where they stopped complaining. So I say I did a good job there! LOL
2) I've found in my experience that all Mega Man games (fan game or not) usually come out to initial backlash and harsh criticism as being too challenging, brutal, unfair, frustrating, etc. and then later mellow out over the course of months or years. Even games of the official franchise have met with this fate: Mega Man 9 comes to mind immediately where even now there are supporters/lovers of the game and haters of it for its blistering difficulty and unfair level design. So not even official games are safe!
Having spent a good portion of my afternoon on it I gotta say the beta testers did their work very well. The game is just frustrating enough to kill me left and right in unfamiliar territory but I still keep coming back for more. The only two levels that REALLY bugged me so far were Magnet Man's and Tornado Man's. Magnet's isn't so bad once you get used to it's gimmick Tornado on the other hand... I think I've died upward 20-30 times now XD. I'm no stranger to the MM series either so take that as you will.
I really should muck up a controller set up. Never was very good keyboard wise. Missed too many jumps today. <_<

I think I speak for all Mega Man fans everywhere when I say THANK YOU DFW for not giving up on this project. I've been looking forward to this for a looooong time. I'll be sure to type up some impressions later after I've gotten my sorry butt kicked a few times.

The Most Stupidest Game Ever - Re-duh!
Hahahaha I wasn't rushing him just a friendly reminder. Aremen you rock for posting this stuff. You know there was another effort similar to this on the forum. Might be worth checking out http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/4667/ You should also get in touch with Segnin he's got a TON of the older stuff from the "good ol' days".

This was one of my firsts too, I loved this old game. It's a shame the guy never did make a prequel, and a sequel to this. It had a really interesting story.
By the way Aremen, I'm gonna see if I can help you with this. Sadly alot of the old internet is pretty much buried, but I remember playing this one old rpg maker game called (forget the whole name), and he made a saga out of it if I recall, and had his own website. I remember it belong to the rpg maker 2000 family of games.
EDIT:
I remember the title now!! It was called Final Destiny!
EDIT:
Success, I hit the jackpot even though it was not hard to find. l'll message you the website where there is a collection of classic RPG maker games.
The bad news:
Sites like Angel-Fire, and Geocity is now gone since some rpg games was stored there as I remembered finding one there. I can no longer find access to the web pages that was supposed to be archived.
Try the Wayback machine. It won't work for everything but if you have a web address it's worth a shot. www.archive.org

The Rare/Obscure RM Games Request Topic
Some good memories hiding in this topic. Surprised I didn't notice it sooner. Ok I got two requests for a pair of games I can't remember the names of. I'll list what I remember though.
The first game was a demo made in RM2K that was hosted on Gaming Ground Zero YEARS ago. It's title was fiery and hell themed. Words like "damnation" or "infernus" come to mind. Anyways the main character was a rip of Locke from FF6 and his companion was Surlent from Rudra no Hiho. I can't recall story details all that well but I know that the only dungeon you could head into was a volcano. Surlent wanted Locke's help to find something at it's core. And when you finally got there Surlent reveals his true colors and causes some kind of reaction that gets you blasted out of the volcano. The demo ends with Locke being saved by some doctor/scientist miles away.
The game had a fairly extensive CBS and Surlent visibly tagged along behind Locke on the maps. I can't remember anything else.
The second of the two was a little more known. It was also a game made in RM2K. It was a parody RPG and it's title had the word "legend" or "legendary" in it. Might have been "legendary adventure" can't remember. The game ran on a DBS and I distinctly recall one of your party members being an inventor like Edgar with a list of tools to use.
The detail that sticks out the most though was a recurring minor villain. He was a dyslexic perverted thief of some kind. He would walk, talk, and do everything backwards. The 2nd time you fight him you apprehend him stealing panties from a brothel/strip joint or something. In the ensuing battle he uses said panties as an attack. Twas rather absurd.

Mega Man: Revenge of the Fallen
Glad to see this project is still alive and kicking. Can't wait to play it when you're done DFW. Been itching for an old school Megaman game and I'd say this is just what the doctor ordered.
Zephyr Skies: The Winter Sage
I hate you all go die in a fire : P How's it feel to know that 2-3 years SOMEONE still fell for this joke. God I'm such an idiot >_<
