FLIGHT OF DRAGONS: THE RPG
author=Trihan
Hey, don't get me wrong, I harbour secret plans to actually try and make Child of the 80s at some point because I think it'd be rad.
I'd play it.

You know the truth is this: I have dabbled with RM2k3, and I like it in principle... but I am a DOOM MODDER, AND I'LL ALWAYS REMAIN SO! :P
You lot, with your skills and your know how could just make all these amazing ideas so that I could play them: and I gurantee you this, most of my ideas hold mainstream appeal so you may even entice people who do not usually glance at RPG maker games.
If you were to make a Goonies RPG tomorrow people would flock. Consider Columbine Massacre the RPG... it's become the stuff of legend.

What's a good length for a demo?

they allow people to give more helpful feedback on how to improve the game.
You use playtesters for that.

First Person Perspective?
Whoever made Breach: Awakening deserves untold praise and adulation; such an excellent execution of an amazing idea - the stuff of genius.

You might remember my topic I posted when I was asking about a title for my game. This is the same game.
It's still called Planet Guardians because I can't be bothered thinking up a new title right now but the main game is coming along quite nicely.
I'm at a bit of a toss up now if I should try uploading a demo or should I actually get the whole thing finished since I'm on a bit of a roll now. It's probably at the halfway point now where they are now fully aware of the villain's intentions and are readying themselves to brace for an attack, while still trying to complete their other quest.
If I did put up a demo now, there isn't much in the way of armour and weapons but one of the characters magic can more than make up for this right now.
Fuck the demo.
Demos are reserved for people who have neither the will nor ambition to actually finish anything.

Wolfenstein: The RPG

An RPG set in WWII era Germany would definitely be interesting. If it's a Wolfenstein game I'm thinking about some sort of Dungeon Crawler, were you infiltrate a Nazi bunker, simply finding items and taking weapons from defeated enemies (so no need for shops and inns).
What about shops represented as members of the resistance? Perhaps the White Rose movement?

Maybe instead of magic, the game could use some sort of targeting system, where you can select specific body parts to shoot, similar to the V.A.T.S system in Fallout 3.
Just a couple of ideas. The screenshot looks pretty good, btw. :P
I like the targeting system, but I think the idea of retaining magic as I think it could serve towards the 'fantastic' element of a good story, i.e. Nazi Occultism:

Could work if it had a real-time battle system, kinda like Zelda.
Hmmm, not so sure. I think it's possible to use a standard JRPG system, given the right presentation.
