Should I buy a PS3 today?
Well, due to all the answers about whether I should buy a PS3 or not today, I've decided not to. Maybe I will tomorrow, but more than likely not.

I said that I wanted a PS3 for non-game reasons. I didn't mean to sound snippy, I was actually trying to sound nice. I may've failed though.
Genre preferences are genre preferences. Ofcourse it doesn't go for all games, but I can't remember playing a triple-A western mature title that didn't bore the shit out of me. Thinking mainly of games that were inspired by GTAIII or Medal of Honor.

I don't want to buy a PS3 just for FFXIII, I'm not sure how you got that impression.
I'm not interested in hacking, if I was, I would definitely get an older one, so thanks for that tidbit.
FFXIII Versus doesn't have a release date yet, if I only wanted it for that, I would wait incase there is a price drop.
I really dislike games like Uncharted or Infamous. It'd be an unfair generalization to say that I hate all western made M rated games, but it'd probably be true about 95% of the time.
Oh, another question, is Fallout 3 similar to games like Uncharted or Infamous? It's quite cheap.

The first one airs January 3rd or something like that. I can't wait to download them after they came out. My only concern is that the site I got them from last time I can't sign back in on and they're one of them nazi-strict sites, so I'll have to look elsewhere.
Is another else a fan of the series? The first 5 seasons for lighthearted fun, the next 3 seasons were decent movies, and the last 3 series were cinema quality and amazing.

I kind of want a blue-ray player, and something to listen to music with for the living (I can stream from my computer or put it all on the harddrive, right?) I think I can also put all my movies on it right so I can watch them on the good ol' HDTV. It's a shame I couldn't find a way to record TV programs with it in Japan.
Anyways, are these good enough reasons to pick one up? I'd eventually get games as well, but right now the only game I'm interested in is Final Fantasy XIII and the Japanese is way too difficult in it for stupid old me.

I thought you were a troll fucking with us (which would've been awesome), so I thought I'd google your username and it just turns out you're about many many many rpgmaker message boards.
I think it's a bit weird to pour your heart to a group of strangers on the internet you've never met before, like the ones here at rpgmaker.net. I have no idea how many other groups of strangers you did the same thing to, or if they were all your internet buds, but it's a bit weird.
The complete lack of any sense of humour or getting when people are joking seems a bit weird.
The robotic responses of only looking at the one goal of getting a girlfriend and almost not being able to socialize or be personable on this forum is a bit weird.
How you talk about girls (as booble has pointed out) on this forum is really weird.
Shall I go on? Again, not trying to offend, you said you wanted help. I hope in the end you're fucking with us all, because that would be funny, and I would've been played.

From that post it seems like you do fit the role of the funny guy. The funny guy can make a great friend, but girls can find it squirmish to be with the funny guy. I had a similar problem in high school. I could listen and make everyone laugh, but I couldn't go beyond that, and so I came off strange or weird when I tried. Also, it sounds like you have little experience, so when you switch to "I want to be with you mode", everyone can smell your awkwardness and it comes off creepy. Again, I'm speaking from personal experience, and not looking down.
Also, if you're a funny guy, then maybe all these girls are just being lighthearted joking with you when they're calling you ugly? They feel comfortable talking to you and comfortable joking with you and no interest in being with you because you're "that guy" and so say "fuck no you're ugly man!"

You know, you can grow a beard and change what you wear, but that is not going to change anything, not with your attitude. You're blaming everything on outside looks, i don't know why, probably because that's an easier, less painful thing to deal with than your personality.
From what you've said, it sounds like you haven't yet found a girl you genuinely care for and respect, you're just lumping them all together. You seem to blindly ask out any girl to deal with your own insecurities(which by the way, probably comes across as really creepy). The normal thing would be to get to know someone as a friend first and take it from there. Your entire reasons for asking out girls just seems wierd to me.
Instead of completely disregarding the fact that your personality might be at fault, i suggest you think about it a lot more. Stop being so self-pitiful and defeatist, and it sounds corny but think about why you're even asking out these girls in the first place, do you actually want a girlfriend or do you just want to solve your own security issues?
Wait until you find someone you genuinely care about and then your attitude might change.
