Tales of Arcadia is back!

It's an interesting point you make, and the more I experiment with the new engine, the more I realize that converting might not be best for ToA. Regardless, though, I am finishing this game. Thanks for the support!

They can either be Oblivion style rats, or pigs. Take your pick. :P

Ooh. Hand-drawn style goodness.

Thanks! I can't take the credit, though. It's not my artwork. I found the original artist, however, and he's listed during the credits.

Jacob's Last Dream

I downloaded the demo and played through it. Here are some of my thoughts:

- I am genuinely intrigued by the story and learning more about the guy mentioned at the end (I'm terrible at names, so sorry I forgot his).
- The Hint system is great for people who want a more casual experience, who just want to enjoy the story for what is it and focus less on the puzzle aspects of Jacob's Last Dream. So kudos to you for adding that in.
- I know this is a small touch but putting the player back at the beginning after jumping through those holes was very much appreciated. I would have been lost navigating back through there.
- My only complaint was the dialogue. The writing was good but the grammar could have been better. I mean, it conveys the story well enough but it could be improved by having it flow better or just using different wording.
- The music, or at least the one song that plays, is simply amazing. Great job there.
- The mapping was also nice and I was impressed by how it changed (I'm sure you know what I mean) after that one scene.

@nhubi,

Candice is, technically, a completed game. There's a beginning, middle, and end. There's a story told through hidden clues. But there's more I would like to fix and/or change.

Pretty cool! I like snow-theme game.

Thanks! Still a ways to go before it's finished, though.

Candice Review

Thanks for the review! I agree with everything you've said. I've already fixed the bug in the very beginning. I'm actually adding in some puzzles and other horror elements, but jump scares aren't my thing. So I'll try to set the atmosphere better.

@Shayoko,

Thanks for the feedback! Again, as I stated, I made this in less than 24 hours just to show a friend who was interested in buying Ace. I put it up on the site because I wanted to add more to it, which I am now doing. :)

Candice

@Frogge,

That is the current plan! It started as just a little project to show a friend but it's fun to work on and I enjoy the horror genre. So hopefully I'll be able to turn it into a full game. :)

Candice

@Frogge,

Thanks! It's short and not quite finished. I'm expanding the story and adding more maps to the house, including a basement.
