and this one needs houses to be this big.
I beg your pardon? A house the size of 3 square tiles is big?

Also, we can't have random boxes.? STONE everyone.

Stone boxes then. The material isn't the point, the real point is having random stuff lying around to show the town is inhabited.

However, each one fails to realize that the town goes Up-and Down, and is not WIDE. Harmons for example. he cuts all access to the top of town.

Way to completely miss the point.

As for everything else mentioned, i would agree if the maps I was given example of were not worse looking then the original picture.

I'll be blunt: You are hopeless.

People repeatedly give you honest, constructive criticism in the hopes of helping you become a better mapper. However, you always respond with "That's not what I want", "My houses must be this tiny big", or "Everything else looks horrible" and flip everyone off before ending with "I'll take some of these points I found I liked into account" in an attempt to save yourself. Every single time.

Seriously, what is your god damn problem?

---------------

As for what I'm currently working on, I am currently working on how to more effectively watch anime on my computer.

My problem is you are an idiot, and you don't realize that the town has a story of how the town was made. many things I Saw in the example goes against this entirely.

So like I said, I believe I will have to edit the tileset. It has to be based on the story of how it was made. I never said I wasn't going to change it. Which just proves you are even more of an idiot.

Ugh, damn triple post.

If the Town is supposed to be stone (Excluding houses), and the town is centuries old, almost all above edits to the original map destroys the whole point of an old ancient stone town. Houses are remade, sure. But everything else in the TOWN is ancient because the TOWN is OLD. THe above example are not OLD. There are also no trees, as it is an old STONE TOWN.

I think the best solution is to make a new tileset.

I'm sorry, but that goes against the towns main design. As for now, the stone town is fine the way it is set up as the city actually made to be tall not wide.

Another reason is that it's a SOLID STONE town, and I noticed rocks. It's also not a village, and these are war home so they can't be big. I appreciate the suggestion, but for stones, I can't use VX for anything. Hell, even the forest titles are limited.

Oh, and the Brick house with the chimney, I know it's supposed to be a house, but VX makes it look like a totally different thing. I mean, is that even a damn roof?
After seeing Kentona's map I thought "there's no way he could argue with that"

boy was I wrong u.u

you keep using the excuse of "that goes against the towns main design". maybe that's your problem, whoever designed the towns isn't very good at it. it's doesn't really matter if the story or concept of the world could harbor such flat empty spaces...it's just plain ugly! and nobody wants to play a game like that.

it'l be interesting to see the response to Liberty's map/advice.

Actually. no.

The Houses have to be this size in this town. Every town in the game has a different setting, and this one needs houses to be this big.

As for everything else mentioned, i would agree if the maps I was given example of were not worse looking then the original picture. It's a stone town. Why the hell does Liberty uses the wrong kind of bricks for a stone town. Also, we can't have random boxes.? STONE everyone.

As for harmonic, that's not even c.lose to a STONE town. Especially since the town is centuries old and the people there live like their ancestors. Oh, and they are in the middle of a war.

There are a few things I see that can be used in the map in both map example. However, each one fails to realize that the town goes Up-and Down, and is not WIDE. Harmons for example. he cuts all access to the top of town.

I will probably throw some statues in their since they are more of a stone related item.

Link, you really need to start thinking instead of attempting to insult people. I need a STONE town, and even though the Examples are quite interesting, it still goes against the whole STONE/Oldcity/In war feel. It's like a Stone refugee camp of sorts.

As for kentonas map, It enhanced the size of the town in width.

So I heard that Introductions are going byebye soon...

After you join a forum, you are technically "NEW".

I head Golden sun was a bit too colourful, but I guess I'll have to find out.

Rpg maker VX

But I actually want to have more tiles to EDIT with. Switching is fine, but I want more control over it.

So I heard that Introductions are going byebye soon...
