And of course no one is forcing the admins, they can say no. But it's the point of suggesting pointless stuff to begin with that gets me
Infection, do you realize that whether something is useless or not is a matter of opinion, not a universal fact?
Do you realize that it sounds pretty rude to qualify someone else’s ideas as useless?
Can you see how something which is useless to you might not be useless to everyone? New ideas are never considered useful by 100% of the members, no matter how good the idea.
I don’t mind people disagreeing with me, that’s certainly their right to do so. For instance, I often disagree with Kentona on a lot of topics but we never seem to feud about it and it’s probably because he doesn’t dump sarcastic replies or tries to dictate other people as to what they should they or think.
I don’t understand where you come to the conclusion that it’s extra work for the admin. I’m sure you’ve seen suggestion boxes in public places before, do you bark at people who submit things in there? Since when did providing feedback (which is asked for) became spitting in the face of the admin? Feedback is meant to make things better, if anything, it’s far from detrimental to admin, quite the opposite really. Can you explain this to me?
Also, can you explain how we should proceed when giving feedback? Should I PM you my suggestion first to see if you approve of it (don’t think it’s useless) before submitting it here? I mean it’s just a rhetorical question here as it would be pretty silly to do so don’t you think?
I’m just really curious to understand your point of view. See, you might say I’m kind of looking for some feedback on your part. The thing is, I don’t agree with you but I’d like to know what you think because, you know, I don’t think it’s useless.
@Darken:
As for ignoring Ankylo, I once again suggest doing a bit of research as you have a very, very limited perspective here (I’m struggling real hard to remain tactful here as otherwise I’d probably say that should mind your own business as you have no clue what you’re talking about). You’ll find that every singular one of his interactions with me involve variations of the same old stale sarcastic comments. Considering that I did not once disrespect him in any way, shape or form in the past (except perhaps for that ignore function screenshot which just happened just now), I think ignoring his further participation around rmn is only natural as I can’t really see anything worthwhile reading on his part but more repetition of the old. I don’t know how you deal with those people but far from me the idea of lecturing you about it (wink wink).
So yeah, I'd say you're pretty damn right in saying he's got his share of faults and if he minds so much about being sent to the Netherworld, he can always PM and we can sort something out.
EDIT: @StarSkipping: Yes, polls would be a good idea.
What's buzzing, yo?
I think that's a great initiative on your part, great initiative. Do we just PM you if we consider something worthy of interest or is there a button somewhere I missed?

@Cinderblock:
No.
I don't mind if you ignore me :), it's your right.
Look up when I last uploaded an image to the website then we'll talk.
Tact.Hmm… ok, let me try.
Darken, my dear, from what I’ve read and thus in my opinion, you’ve never really struck me as an individual who seemed to give a… hmmm… to ahh… to concern himself about formulating tactful replies so I find it a little surprising to say the least to be encouraged by your very person to be tactful. The only thing I said which might be considered as being tactless was the fuck that shit part which I couldn’t help, considering what I understood from Link’s reply.
(I hope I’m doing good so far because my first draft was a fair bit more direct).
Let me go on now:
The feedback section is to provide feedback. I know this might seem a bit self-evident but I just wanted to highlight that for a minute because any feedback is dealt with a hostile reaction by certain members.
Now that this is out of the way, let me explain further. If no feedback is wanted, then let us get rid of the section entirely but let’s not hold a double-discourse here. You either want feedback or you don’t. Since the section is still open, I will therefore come to the conclusion that you do.
Now that we have established that feedback is wanted, people who are unhappy with other members providing ideas should therefore stay out of this section of the forum as what they’ll find in the feedback section is actually feedback (sorry if that sounds patronizing or cheeky but you have to wonder sometimes).
To those members who don’t want to be involved in providing feedback to the forum, please let others who want to be involved in this do. I’m saying please out of politeness here because to be frank I’ll keep doing as I please but I just want you guys to understand that. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s too much or not enough. If you disagree, make your own suggestions but don’t try to discourage people who are taking some of their time to improve things around here.
With tact, yours truly.
Thank you in advance.
The front page serves its purpose, leave it be.
No.

If you are really that concerned that your images are being left out, why don't you just post another screenshot after the guy posts his?

@NewBlack:
Thank you kindly, I'll do what is necessary to fix it.
@LockeZ:
What is written next to the door is: "The Seventh Door", it'll probably end up being the title of the game. It was drawn by what the player thinks is the murderer. Is that really the case however...?

@sixe: Looks epic. I can't wait to see more about your game.
@SnowOwl: It's got a nice, gloomy feel to it. Considering your tileset, you might be interested in what Dundjinni has to offer:

How nice of you to visit my humble abode, Newblack. You're completely right about the reference.
Here's a new version, I think the ground looks better this way, what do you guys think?

Thanks Lockez, that might do it. I'll give it a try and show you how it looks.
Forgot a couple of characters for the game (my version is on the left):

Yes, I know what you mean about the spriting. This is also how I started, frankenspriting. Then, I copied the Earthbound style and slowly but surely started to create stuff from photographs instead of from other sprites.
I guess it depends what you are looking for. I'm personally not a big fan of the short legs in the RMXP charsets with the giant eyes, I find it difficult to make a ''serious'' game themed game with those guys. But then again, as I recalled, your game had funny moments so that might work out after all.

@Chana: It's supposed to be a rooftop texture:
Ref used:

I'm having trouble with this though, that's why I only did a small patch because I knew there was something odd about it.
EDIT: The sky at the back is definitely not finished, I just wanted to show some progress before going any further.

Thank you, ゆきはる!I'll see what I can do about it once I'm done with the chipset.
New chipset I'm working on for Slimongo:
Remake of an old map I posted way back in the screenshot section.
I'm experimenting at recreating the texture you'd find on a rooftop. It kind of looks like noise at the moment so if you have any ideas as to how to fix this, I'd be more than grateful.
I've included a few of LockeZ suggestions such as the cigarette tops.
