What's the Point?
Gee, Zeronamous, that's really depressing. Here's my more positive outlook:
It doesn't matter if you never gain any fame or move on to bigger and better things. It doesn't matter if no one plays your game at all! (Although that would suck) The reason I do it is because it is a fun and relaxing hobby!

The platform to the right of the checkpoint might look better with the blocks you used on the other platform.
That's because the blocks to the right used to be question mark blocks, so they looked virtually the same. However, If I switch them both to SMB3, they should both look better, regardless! Thanks for pointing that out, I'll change that.

That's the theme! This is just a bad part. Most of the puzzle before and after this is filled with color; but the level is mostly yellow.
EDIT: The reason I chose this yellow part is because I wanted to show off my puzzle. Otherwise, I would have never picked this section of the level.

The button was here yesterday, but now the deadline is passed and it has disappeared. Your best bet is to PM it to the judges; they already said thats fine.
