The "Door locked being me, hope I'm not locked in" line sounds redundant at first but it's ok when you think about it.
That room slowly fading in outwardly from the light source at the top right at the start of the vid adds such great atmosphere. They're likely the visual effect that I'm most impressed by in this game.

I think many of us have played Metal Gear and remember the nightmare that was having to select keys.

Even small things like being able to loop from one edge to another are great for the player.
And yeah, this looks like the menu you'd see in a modern game, albeit RM res. Fantastic work.

Nice transition at the end and it's good that you have her moving around while talking. Way too many people just have the characters stand there.

Sorry, I'll come right out and say it but I outright don't remember what comments I've made on what games before.
Anyway, I was doing something similar but it all fell apart when I had the room shake. It was like the events and non-floor/wall tiles shook out of sync. That was MV though.

Looking good. Are the cracks in "reality" or in the building itself? Just saying that if they're just supposed to be in the floor and walls and you wanna go crazy with the detail, you can make it look like they go behind the room decorations instead of over them.
If reality is cracking, then crack away.
