Games sequels, stay the same or go different? why and how?

Why make a sequel? because your original gameplay was solid and you can improve on that. That should be the ONLY reason to make a sequel.
if you do it for the story, stop. Just stop. Your irst story was not that good to begin with, no matter how good you think it was.

Create something new instead. Heck, even use the same characters for all I care but if you ever do a sequel, do it because the gameplay can be perfected further. That's the only reason to do it...

Multiple Parallax Layers in VX?

Is there w away to have a second or even third parallax layer in RMVX? There is a script that shows a map as parallax but i would need a graphic file for that. is that possible? i need this for worldmap, not battles!

edit: WORKS! I had to do a small workaround as it turns out that the character CAN in fact turn even in solid BUT i had the character move up and down instead of turning and compared his XY to player XY and if its the same it teleports.

there are tile IDs but i have no idea how to code that and that still would only help if th e script checks what tile it is TWO tiles ahead, not one tile ahead as you are supposed to blink over that one tile to the next. or jump or whatever, just get over it!

I finally bought a version of rpg maker!

I have VX legally so I ain't going nowhere^^ But congrats on buying the product :)
