That was kind of a light-hearted comment. But if you really think that will dissuade people from working for me, then I will remove the comment.
To tell you the truth, I have STARTED many projects in the past, but have never completed any of them. Also, this game is still in its planning stage. If you think its nessecary, I will work on this project much, much more before I request the charsets again. I just want the charsets!
Also, I will do all I can to fill the "ritualized sacrifices" bill, but A) I have no idea what that means, and B) I really have nothing to give! I am just a 14-year-old game designer with a head filled with ideas. I am in headway with a GameMaker project, however, if you want to see that. The HTML for the website is www.yoyogames.com and the game is called Demonic Roots for all who want to see it.

Charsets Needed! (Faces also will do!)
Hey guys, your wonderfully annoying n00b Garren here! I am in need of some charsets for a project I am working on. Here are the characters descriptions and battle images...
Aluxes - The main protaganist of the story. Not much is said about him except that he is a knight under the command of King Romanus III.
Cyrus - A lizardman who knows human tounge and ancient magic. Cyrus is the first to teach Aluxes that the inhabitants of the wild world are not at uncivilized and violent as the empire claims they are. Cyrus ends up traveling with Aluxes later in the game.
Jullian - A descendant of the ancient Sky Knights. Jullian is furious at the Empire's campaign to destroy the Sky Knights image, and joines the Olympians as the result. Jullian wields a special gun made by the ancient race themselves, and journeys to find the truth about his heritage.
King Romanus III - The leader of the Empire. King Romanus only wants best for his people, but relies on the words of his advisor, Cardinal Bellarmine, to determine the condition of his people. Romanus is bound by ancient code to stay within the castle walls, but often likes to look out on his royal balconey at the city below. He will soon learn that all is not as it seems.
Cardinal Bellarmine - The militaristic advisor of the King. When in front of the citizens of the Empire, his demeanor is often very somber and religious. He teaches the people of the Empire the evils of the outside world and those who oppose the King. He claims to be carrying out the wishes of his god, but his true motavations are known only to himself.
Damien - Jullians father. He used to be a blacksmith in the desert province of the Empire, but later joined the Olympians. He is now the captain of an imperial ship known as the Mistress of the Skies, which has not only given the Olympians an invaluable source of transportation, but an invaluable comrade as well.
Abdhul - A vampire who appears to be the main antagonist of the story. He preys on members of the Olympians and the Empire alike, and often hold maidens prisoner only to suck them dry of blood the next day.
Lucas - A child raised in the forest province of the Empire. His sister was captured by Abdhul, so he journeys to save her from his vile grasp. He appears to have known Cyrus at an earlier point in his life, and later joins the group.
Rain - Lucas' sister. She is held captive by Abdhul only to escape when he is about to kill her. She then teleports out of the castle, but due to a malfunction in the spell she warps ten days into the future, and travels around the world to find her little brother. She is able to communicate with her brother through a mirror given to her by her mother, which is sold to bandits shortly after she escapes.
Jonathan - An Olympian spy who often disguises himself as a Crusader general. He is good friends with Jullian and ends up being partners with him on most of their missions.

WARNING: Most of these I already have. Obviously those are the ones based on the RMXP (RPG Maker XP) RTP, but for those who don't use RMXP I've included a list of charsets I don't need. I have: King Romanus III, Cardinal Bellarmine, Damien, Abdhul, Lucas, Rain, Jonathan (Disguise).
...Yeah, that leaves about four I need. However, I have recently come across a tutorial for showing faces in RMXP, so any faces posted for the characters above will be greatly appreciated. I would like them to be in RMVX (RPG Maker VX) style, but I'm not picky, so do your best! ^^

I don't know how long I played that game... my eyes hurt. O_O
I thought the first boss was kind of difficult, but then I meet the evil little midget. That little girl was impossibly fast and strong, I died three times before I finnaly devised a method to beating her. I'm going to have to remember that method, because when I faced Marcellus the game screen blacked out and gave me an error.

Oh well, guess I'm going to have to get my ass canned again...

I disagree. I haven't even played this game yet, and I might not have played that many RPG's yet, but this game's storyline seems very fresh! After reading it, I spent five minutes trying to think of a storyline that could possibly rival it.

Nico, the story alone makes me want to play this game. I'm currently TRYING to come up with a plot as powerful as this, and not really going to well. A pat on the back for you, friend!

OFF TOPIC: Anyone notice that Fed changes his avatar almost every five minutes?
ON TOPIC: I just got back from the gym today. I was at Costa Rica for a week, so my schedule got mixed up a little bit, but I'm getting back to it. Here's what I do at my neighborhood gym:
LATERAL PULL-DOWN; 56.25 lbs
ARM ROTATION; 40 lbs
AB CRUNCH; 55-60 lbs
CHEST PRESS; 40 lbs
Oh man, how I HATE that Chest Press.
At my dad's house, however, my schedule is again thrown off. My dad has a do-it-yourself mini-gym set of equiptment, but I can't work out there. Not that the equiptment isn't good, it's just that he has me work out in front of our house.

Not help, necessarily, but something I've always wondered in RM2K...
I'm guessing the enourmous amount of maps would be too much for the system to handle, and the game simply will refuse to operate.
Story Help

When I wrote that, my plan was to create a RMXP game using RTP, and having a story plot where the evil guy takes over... seven years later... real action begins... blah blah blah.
Lovecraftian all the way would be cool, but yeah, I agree with Karsuman. It's not really... "bad" or like poorly thought out or anything... it just sounds unoriginal. I mean, all that sort of "thousands of years ago... demons etc. etc." is kind of generic fantasy game plot stuff. Not sure what style of game you are going for, but the two larger plot posts you made, to me, sound like they could be separate games. The first one reminded me of A Home Far Away, one of my favorite (and best written) RM games involving two kids who are basically... far away from home, and it's about their journey home. The tone of that game is pretty lighthearted, and that's what I sort of envisioned around your plot. Maybe that's not what you want, but the second part you posted makes a really large shift to generic fantasy game stuff, where maybe the plot is well thought out or executed well, but... always tends to seem unoriginal.

If the story were to be Lovecraftian, as you call it, I'm guessing the Necronomicon would play a major role. Hopefully, though, Lovecraft and his personal fantasies can play as minor story characters. I wouldn't exactly be overly enthusiastic about creating a game staring the Mad Arab, Abdul Alhazrd, considering the fact the guy gets eaten by an "invisible monster." How would I put that into exiting context?
