How do i play MV games without 3D.
author=LockeZ
Ah, being laggy is very, very different from not working. I thought you couldn't start the games. If they're just laggy then the solutions are completely different.
- Close down your web browsers
- Turn off your antivirus program's real-time protection
- Open the task manager, go to the list of processes, and see if anything other than svchost is using more than 100MB of RAM. If so, close that program if it's safe to do so
- If you don't know if it's safe to close a process that's listed in task manager, or how to close it, post what program it is
- Make sure your computer is actually plugged in and not running on battery - many laptops will start reducing the computer's quality and speed to save battery life when it's not plugged in
You should also download DirectX 12 because it can only help. There's no reason to still have version 9 unless you're on Windows XP.
Doing anything in software rendering mode is almost certainly the cause of your lag. If you can get the games to run without it then the lag should be fixed. The only games that you should ever really be running in software rendering mode are games that are so old that they predate the existence of 3D.
There is no anti-virus.
Already tried opening only the game.
Already done the task manager thing.
It's on power, seriously, i would have noticed, i make the screen lose brightness when on battery.
No help of DirectX 12.
I'm telling you man, btw, GPU is sis mirage 3.
Seriously, at this point i think it's easier to just find the alternative.

author=Zeigfried_McBaconauthor=HowlerLeechWindows 7 starter? Are you using a netbook by chance?
Tried, still laggy.
I'm using a starter Windows 7 32bits. To better detail the problem, there are MV games that are more laggy/buggy than others, VX Ace only works on software mode, i can't play even N64 roms that are 3D (for example, Harvest Moon works, Perfect Dark doesn't), DirectX is 9c.
I can't even play Touhou, everything is so laggy, but the music is normal.
Edit: Just tried updating the driver. Nope.
Probably, no idea how to tell the difference.
And yes, i have 2gb ram.

For some time, i've been suffering from lack of money, which means i have to play games on a 10 years old laptop. The problem is, it doesn't have 3D accelerator on it, which means i can't play 3D games. Now here is my question, is there any way to turn off 3D plugin, like in VX ace, in RMMV?

I had the same worries about alchemy materials, i saved all dropped materials for late game to find out they were mostly useless unless for end game and usables, but the main end game materials will only be found on chests and the crystalized hope shrine, unity penalized the lack of exploration because she put too much work on drawing things, agressive blade for example is an item that should be stored at least 3 of it, just look at the recipes at the end and save what you need/want.
The game was also made in a way that any person experienced on JRPGs would be able to understand everything after the naga dungeon.
About respawn, they only happen if you sleep/change locations (like dungeon>city>back to dungeon), didn't see any chest respawning items either.
And the only time i used guard was on a battle that had to wait for X turns, so i just guarded/healed.
Seriously, games don't need to be spoon fed to people, experiment things, use your head, you didn't need tutorial and in-depth understanding to play Mario, Sonic, Pokemon or Final Fantasy. I thought Dark Souls had taught that back to people. I finished Pokemon Red when i was 10 years old and didn't know english, i had to get through the first Zubat cave blinded because i didn't know how to get Flash.

Remember that Chisa spent more than a year training along Karuna. Sure Karuna had more history, she could have gotten some more skills from her past like Chisa, but she joined the school like 3 years before the game, so yes, Karuna is stronger, but Chisa is not that far behind, not to mention the time Karuna spent grooving. Also, on Hero and Daughter, the hero is permanently at level 1, and by the end of the game, he gets stronger than the lvl 400s.
The weirdest of all is Chisa's weapon, she is a healer that uses an axe. I would accept staff, sword, mace, bow, even nunchakus, but axe... She also boasts the title of "healers have insane damage".

The game is pretty much straight foward, the buttom isn't needed unless you spend a long time without playing mid game. Hero and Daughter did it worse, the name of the guard is "I am Guard", i laughed so hard... It's one of the funniest games, if not the funniest, i've ever played, unity's humor is actually pretty mild compared to some things i've played. Also, think like this, Karuna starts 3x stronger than her squire.
Anyway, just finished the game. It's one of the few rpgmaker games i actually played to the end. Personally, i don't like all the good angels vs evil demons thing, i would prefer fighting people, like a mad king, or war between races that ends up in a conspiracy... You know, the things that are almost impossible to create perfectly without doing a lot of drugs. But this is just some random rant.
It was clear that unity put her? heart in the game, and it translated nicely, i believe it was more of an idealized love story than a plot. Not even once i felt bored or unwilling to go for the 100%, i really did look for all trasures and special stuff. This is a game that all yuri lovers should play. I keep everything i said before in my other post, and armor ignoring damage is op.
Some things to add are: You did awesome at the diversity and length of the dungeons, everything was straight foward, but with items hidden on secondary rooms, no bs respawn, each dungeon took 1-2 hours to finish; The game became increasingly easy instead of harder, the op items by the end of the game were overwhelming, at some times, Chisa and Karuna could instakill all enemies using the 3X impulse skills (yes, i abused the luck build), everyone had stat preventing and impulse refueling items and by god... I made Merel deal 37k single damage, not even combined damage from multi-hit skills got close, basically, by the time enemies got stronger, the characters got a new op skill/item; The dialogs could have been a little more mature between Chisa and Merel, i thought the game would be all light-hearted, but then... Lynette, she gave some maturity to the game, which made me think back about those 2, i mean Chisa defending Merel at the beggining was very good, and the sleep part was cute, but i don't know, i felt like Merel was trying too hard to impress.
tl;dr: Loved the game, can i be your fan?
And seriously, the whole "final dungeon" took me 3 hours... I took longer fighting the last boss at Breath of Fire 4, people lied to me.

I read some of the comments now, 2 years and 22 worth of pages is too much, so just the 2 final pages.
I don't know why addit think the game is hard... He must be too used to playing CoD. With the post battle mp regen item at the final dungeon, i think i should have started the game at hard mode. Seriously, go play Seraphic Blue, a normal monster can wipe your entire party before you can act if you are unlucky, and there are save stations and random encounters, meaning you lose a LOT of time.
But seriously, i still can't find the trade area, the only different thing i found was an armor that had a comment (i'm judging beggining from before finding the first person). Might as well just finish it this way.

author=unityI believe having male characters on important roles would give a better emphasis on the yuri part, it would look more special, especially if the guy also have/had a girlfriend/wife. It doesn't even have to be profound or about prejudice(seriously overused), just having it makes it look better. I'm really looking foward to your next games.
Thanks very much! ^_^ Future yuri games I do, like the planned spinoff for this game, will have males in more prominent roles (one is even a party member! XD). It's still about the ladies, but I don't want to always completely exclude men or anything
Last question, something i didn't find at the tips. What the hell do i do with the alchemy set on key items? I finished making it before entering the final dungeon, did i miss something? Because i made the hammer a looong time ago and can't find the place to use it.

I managed to beat the maze.
The game really is entertaining, the battles are very good, normal monsters are strong enough for you to care but weak enough to beat without having to use items after every battle (one of the best turn based battle systems i've seen), which keeps you hooked, the battle animations also remind me of FF7, but 2D. I'm a sucker for yuri so i can't really give an opinion about the overall, but the characters are both somewhat realistic and too straight foward, it's like watching Yuru Yuri, but with men in the background, they exist, but they don't matter, if Lynette was a man, it would have been almost perfect (my point of view).
The only real downside i get from the game is the way the things were drawn. You can't be sure of what you can walk through and what you can't, it's the same as walking through a forest in normal sprites and finding a secret path behind some trees, but with normal stuff (it's what got me stuck on the long maze).
I might be some random player, but i am enjoying the game, not hard, not easy, common but funny story, funky music, awesome job there. Also, why is Lavos a common enemy at Watery Depths? lol
