What's with that Lakitu's cloud? I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on with that.

Haven't played the level yet, but I think it's supposed to be a mustache.

What's with the non-swimmable waterfall rule? I kept it in my level because it is integral to the switch secret and to the SMB3 aesthetic (where they are swimmable).

We had the choice of either utilizing waterfalls in a functional way (swimmable) or in a decorative way (non-swimabble) and so it was decided to have them be a more decorative element since we've got ladders and vines. And because lots of waterfalls in the background are cool. (Wait and see how no one uses the waterfalls in their levels)

we gotta switch things up now and then to keep it fresh, ya dig?

Agreed! I thought it was a neat idea!

Yeah, but not overtime pay! Despite the fact that we all basically work part time, we still run on the rules for a 40 hour work week. :(

A storm-the-fortress level with multiple doors to go down that all lead to the same place in the end. They purely exist for variety's sake. Probably will have a sucky boss because I suck at making bosses.

Because Hali hasn't gotten to it yet and I'm too lazy to do more editing than I need to. Patience!

I don't think there's anything in the rules that forbids it, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It's not a good idea! 1) It makes the level take forever to load, and 2) It would be very odd to be playing Mario the whole game and then suddenly have a level where you play Kirby. The characters we play as should be consistent throughout the whole game.

OH GOD. OH GOD IT'S AS BAD AS THE LAST ONE. OH GOD

Nah, it's just me who hates it: This tutorial is by and large superior to the last one because you can skip over the parts you give no shits about. I've only two quips:

-In the Clown Car section, the two signs shouldn't be down there on the floor, because you have to hold UP to make the Clown Car go up. If the player goes down there to read the signs IN the Clown Car (as everyone will) they'll get stuck down there because the signs are too close together. But they shouldn't be down there anyway; rather they ought to be up near the ceiling. More intuitive.

-I hate hate hate that there's a star to end the level off. Because it still means that the tutorial is part of 100% completion, which shouldn't be the case with this kind of tutorial that explains every little agonizing nitpicky thing. I don't care that you can just run to the end to get the star YOU STILL SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO IT. AT LEAST WITH THIS KIND OF TUTORIAL.

Just have the player exit through a door. Otherwise, I couldn't find any problems with it.

- Does every single detail NEED to be explained? One thing to consider is that SMBX comes with a help file which explains the controls and whatnot. I'm just thinking of ways to make this tutorial a little less text-heavy, 'cause it's kind of boring the way it is right now.

This is the big flaw with the tutorial and why I hated the last one and this one. If you want to make a REAL tutorial, you need to devise ways for the player to discover how to use these abilities on their own without signs telling them how to do everything. Nevertheless, you still did a good job with the construction of it all. I can appreciate this took a while to throw together!

- It's inconsistent but sometimes the skull platforms glitch when they are travelling towards a downward slope, causing you to miss vital jumps. Maybe you could have them drop down a straight cliff as oppose to a slope to insure that won't happen.

I here-by declare a site-wide ban on the default version of the Paralysis status!

Paralysis that's just freezing your foe has always bugged me, because that should be the duty of other statuses like STOP. I prefer the Earthbound way: Where you're locked out of physical attacks and items, but you can still cast spells. That or the Dragon Quest way where you only have a percent chance of not moving each turn, rather than just being locked out. But that may be even more annoying for some.

You can't deny it's fun to paralyze enemies though. Maybe we should be petitioning for developers to stop STOPing the party so much. Think of some other statuses like radioactive fallout or something.
