Okay, maybe I'm wrong! Maybe it really is Liberty. Maybe I was actually RIGHT yesterday and have been on the wrong train all day today.
But SHE is the one who I thought was an agent! That was the whole point of me voting for her earlier, I wanted to see who would follow along with me. I knew Yellow Magic would because it lines up with all the other scummy stuff he did yesterday! If he genuinely thought I suspected her, as the last mafia he would absolutely want to support that claim and try to get her killed.
But SHE is the one who I thought was an agent! That was the whole point of me voting for her earlier, I wanted to see who would follow along with me. I knew Yellow Magic would because it lines up with all the other scummy stuff he did yesterday! If he genuinely thought I suspected her, as the last mafia he would absolutely want to support that claim and try to get her killed.

Do any of you honestly have a good reason as to why Yellow Magic is not mafia?
Don't give me that "Well he DID suggest we start looking at the scumchat for clues" but TangledLion had already posted from the scumchat and people were already going to be looking at it. I think that YM had good reason to try and bus his partner by that point because whatever plan they might have put together, they could on longer communicate it to each other. The best case scenario was to do what they could to look town as possible, and eliminate either Ratty or Tunger on day 1. If he busses the other guy
Is that a good strategy for mafia on day 1? Well, of course not! But people, their chat was exposed! Two agents were on the board!
And guys, we don't know for sure that YM or LockeZ knew who each other was. We know they certainly planned to lynch Ratty because we can infer from LockeZ's earlier post that they had a method in place to group-target people, but if Yellow Magic decided point out the scumchat to everyone, he at least knew that the guy who was gonna get fingered wasn't him. If he helped to kill off scum then that makes him look good to the rest of us.

Neither YM or I voted for LockeZ, guys. This is not rocket science. At least lynch one of us. Make your cases against one or the other. Don't even think about anyone else today.

I see what you're saying, and believe me, I didn't initially suspect Ratty because of that weird first action. That just seemed like an attempt to provoke a reaction from others, which I'm fine with. What made me supicious were his later actions, where he essentially went back to the status quo by canceling his vote and posting on behalf of town. This way, Ratty managed to attract a lot of attention and create an image of himself to the point of "a mafia would never do that," putting himself beyond suspicion without ever getting into danger or committing to anything himself. It just seems manipulative to me.
I am however aware that this theory is built on very shaky ground. And yes, I do feel a little bad for trying to get Ratty killed off right at the beginning of a game yet again. But I can't just sit around and do nothing. And right now, this is the least bad idea I have. So I'm going to stick with my vote unless someone manages to give me a convincing argument as to why we shouldn't lynch Ratty.
